I have had problems w/ sleeping for a long time and I do not do good w/ medicine of any kind (I have tried a lot) I have lot's of side affects w/ any meds. I am having a shocking sensation all over my body when I lay down and it is getting much worse even just sitting sometimes. It feels like little needles all over my body one prick at a time? I had the shingles over 3 years ago after the birth of my daughter they were on the left side of my face and the nerve where they started is the same feeling that I get just all over. (don't know if that has anything to do with it)
I also have been suffering with hip pain that is coming from my cyatic nerve for over 3 years. I am finally in physical therapy and seeing a great chiroprator and it is helping. When I was pregnant with my youngest the pain in my right hip started and the right leg is the only one that was swollen and I got varicose veins only in the right leg. I also have a lot of tingling and pain all the way to my foot. I am trying to exercise more and really watch my diet; I try to do things the natural way but I just don't know who to see or what to do and I am about at the end of my rope.
Anyone that has advice would be much appreciatedd

What can I do next?

I would strongly recommend Trevin Fugere, Chiropractor at Fusion Chiropractor in Frisco. He is wonderful and there is also an excellent registered massage therapist (medical massage) named David.

Trevin is a father of 3~his wife had 2 homebirths. He knows and understands the pregnant and post pregnant woman's body.

I REALLY recommend Dr. Calli in Keller for acupuncture - it's the ONLY kind of "treatment" that is natural and actually helps. You may have to see her a few times but MUCH cheaper than meds and stuff in the long run. She takes most insurance but if not, the most it will be is $65 a treatment. My mom only needed 3 treatments to treat her arthritis and my aunt's knee pain was drastically improved in one treatment and gone after 4. Good luck!

My guess is that it's some kind of neuropathy (nerve damage) which can result from a number of causes.

There are physicians that specialize in pain management. You should be able to get a good referral from your primary care physician, your physical therapist and even your chiropractor.

On a side note regarding side effects with medications - each person will respond completely differently to any medication. I'd see if there's a physiological reason you're not tolerating any medication well - it's not common to have consistently bad side effects with all medications.

Good luck. Hoping you're able to alleviate your pain soon.

I HIGHLY recommend Matt Chalmers with Chalmers Wellness in Frisco. He is great and I am sure he can help you. He will consult for free to assess what your needs are and he will be honest with you. He may be a drive for you but he has even had patients fly in to see him, so it won't be that bad. I honestly can't say enough great things about this clinic. He has several emphasis one being pain.

It's possible it could be a pinched nerve?

I would eliminate all of the environmental toxins first, though. A lot of home cleaners, body cleaners, and laundry soaps contain neurotoxins. It's possible you are sensitive to them.

PM me and I'll put you in touch with another mom on here who knows a good deal about detoxifying your environment.

I had a hip pain that I had to have cortizone injections for. After so many, the orthopedist did a spinal injection, which was scary, but it lasted awhile. Then I had the second one. It wore off as well after about six months. Then I was having a side pain that doctors thought for sure was an appendix attack, but I had that out when I had a C section. They didn't know what was wrong. My orthopedist didn't want to inject cortizone in my back if that side pain was cancer, so I held off on that until we could find whqt it was, That pain lasted 8 months until a doctor started me on this nutrition, and two months, the side pain was gone. Also, I no longer needed the 3rd spinal injection, for that hip pain wasn't an issue either. That was over two years ago, and it has not come back. My email is
____@____.com if you would like any information. I have been taking it now for over 2 1/2 years, and my list of health issues going away has now reached to ten!
