I was curious if any other moms' out there have given birth or had a c-section at Richardson Regional Medical Center? My doctor is located at this hospital, but I don't know very much about the maternity wing and how well they take care of their new moms'. I would appreciate any feedback about this hospital. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

If you have a low-risk pregnancy, I highly recommend this hospital. I gave birth to my son there April 2007. My experience was great, no complaints overall (except on my last day I experienced a rude nurse very briefly who did not dare enter my room after I passively made a comment to another nurse about how I was treated). Very personalized care... even received a congratulatory card in the mail from all the staff who cared for me during labor+delivery and recovery. Nice touch. :)

I had both of my children there - 1992 and 1993 and cannot speak highly enough of it. I loved the LDRs and was lucky enough to have both children in the same one 14 mo apart. The care was excellent, except for one nurse and she was a temp and would be retired by now...lol...........great place!

I have had both my girls there. After my 2nd daughter I obtained a kidney infection & had to go back into the hospital. I was DEVASTATED since I had just given birth to my daughter. I was allowed to stay in the maternity ward. But my parents took care of my baby. They decided I needed a "rest". But the maternity nurses took care of me as if I had a baby there. They helped me pump & they came into my room to check on me frequently. And would sit by my bedside when I had my meltdowns (I was just sad not being able to be with my baby but I was also too sick to take care of her if she had been with me).

I had my first daughter at Richardson Regional in 2003. I had a great delivery and recovery there, and the nurses and lactation consultant were all very helpful. I also thought their food was really good for hospital-fare. My doctor relocated to Frisco so my other 2 kids were born at Centennial (which I also thought was great). It has been a while so I'm not sure if much has changed.
