Reflux Babies: Where Do You Have Them Sleep?

My 4 month old daughter was diagnosed with Reflux (thru the reflux test at Childrens)when she was 2 weeks. Since she is never able to sleep "flat" I constantly struggle to find the best way to have her sleep. I have used wedges and most are too flat (so she starts refluxing and gulping) and if they are too steep she slides right down them. She hates her "Danny Sling" that works for lots of reflux babies.. so I mostly have her sleep in her car seat. Does anyone have any other ideas/products that have worked for them? I just feel bad for having her in the car seat as much as I do. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

What can I do next?

My second child had pretty severe reflux and slept in his swing for the first year of life. The only other position that worked for him was sleeping next to me with his head on my arm.

I don't have any new ideas for you, but just so you know you aren't alone my youngest son (now 9) spent all of his first winter sleeping in a car seat in his crib or in a bouncy seat. He didn't have reflux, but he had nasal congestion and/or a cough all winter. He had RSV at 4 1/2 months. I just made sure that the straps were safely dealt with and that he was somewhere safe where he couldn't strangle on the straps, fall out, etc. If the car seat is working for her I would just stick with it. Good luck.

Both are kids had reflux. Right now our 9 month old son has it. We put blankets under his mattress so it was at a slight angle. That seemed to help a lot. And once he could roll we let him sleep on his tummy which also helped a ton. He is breast fed but we give him one bottle of formula before bed because it is thicker and helps keep the acid down. What med is she on? I know that the zantac only works for a few hours and then quits. We had to get prilosec. And they gave us the capsules to sprinkle on his food because the liquid is hard to get and exact dose because it separates too much. Hope that helps some.

My oldest had that also (we found out after 5 days of being in Childrens) We lifted the mattress on one end and that seemed to help. We also had to switch formula, we used Good Start (yes, I am dating myself, she is now 18 years old)but that also seemed to help. At that time, they also suggested putting some rice cereal in her bottle, but I don't know if they still think that is a good idea or not. I do know it helped her, we didn't have so much projectile vomiting once I started doing those things.
Good Luck!
