I live in Corinth and raise my grandson full time who is 3-1/2. He goes to church affliated mothers day out twice aweek. I am looking for a good pre kindergarden program maybe not this coming fall but next fall when he will be 4-1/2, He loves the mothers day out, but they don't allow children to go 4 days a week to prep him for kindergarden. Is there other programs out there? Is there any toddler programs that parents can get involved with child over the summer months, either evenings or Saturdays?

What can I do next?

I too have heard wonderful things about Reading Friends and would definitely advise you to check out the article at BurbMom.net. Another option is Primrose School of Hickory Creek - they too have a great Preschool Program and 4 1/2 would be the prefect age. The staff there is fabulous and you can go on a tour as well as at Reading Friends. Good luck in your search.

I live in California, here we have parent co-ops for preschoolers and toddlers. There are several places here like "little gym" or "gymboree" that allow the parents to come to a "class like" setting, sing songs, parachute games, and fun activities with their toddlers or even preschoolers for about an 1 hour class, you should check in your area. Here in California, we have "state" preschools that are for income qualified children to go to school for 3 1/2 hours a day, so they can be ready for Kindergarten. Here, we also have private preschools that allow children to come as a parttime student, and they usually work with your schedule. Good luck and happy hunting!

Lakeland Christian Academy at Main and 35E has a preschool that includes a Pre-K program. It's at Lakeland Baptist Church. They do not run in the summer, but are in session with the regular school schedule. My two girls go there and we love it! Their preschool is awesome. Check them out...www.lakelandchristianacademy.org.

I would recommend Primrose Of Hickory Creek also. My son is enrolled at the Primrose of Old Orchard in Lewisville (where we live). He loves it and really does learn a ton (spanish at 3 1/2 and can count to 25). They also offer Private Kindergarden, I can't wait until my son gets old enough for this.

Have you tried the elementary school? Many of the districts we have been in offer preschools. Some are need based some are not. Also check out the Kindercare and others in your area. You are allowed to visit different day care/preschool centers before you enroll your little one.
2 of mine went to the district preschool, one went to the YMCA preschool and one went to a Pre-K program at a daycare near our home. THey were all great and prepared the children for kindergarten, like teaching them to sit and be quiet and following directions form someone other than mommy. Some academics.

Also, try Lewisville Christian School at Garden Ridge Church of Christ. They have a great program. My child went to a 2 day MDO program in Corinth, as good as it was, it was only 2 days a week and felt that does not prepare them. LCS has 3 and 5 day programs for that age. I have also heard good things about Reading Friends too.
