I belong to a really great group and we have at least 3 meet ups a week that you can attend. I really love this group. I am also in Kaysville, so not to far from you.

Hey ladies, we just moved to Centerville, I dont know anyone in the area... I am looking for a playgroup for my 2 year old son... He is an only child and I feel that he needs time with other kids. I have been thinking of a preschool program at Kindercare but I just really dont want to leave him and the expense would be kind of a burden.. Let me know if you have any ideas or groups we can join...=)

Hi B.! I have lived in Centerville for 11 years! I just barely moved away last week, though. I know that where I lived (just a little north of the Dairy Queen) there were tons of mommies that would get together and meet at the parks, each others' houses, etc for play dates. About 8 years ago I joined a Mom's group (can't remember what it was called) and went to a few of those play dates. However, I didn't find them very fulfilling. I preferred the people who were in my neighborhood. I do have a suggestion for meeting some new people: try going to Flip's gymnastics in Bountiful--they have tons of classes for kids. The one that is appropriate for your guy is actually a Mom-n-Tot class. Your son will meet kids his age, make some friends, and you will get to know the moms, too. You will find that a lot of moms from Centerville actually take their kids there.
Good luck!
Hi,
I belong to the MOMs group of Bountiful. It's a really good group that has lots of activities every month such as park play, story time, cooking group, mom night out, etc. The web site link is below.

It's a great group of ladies and kids. Unfortunately since I work full-time and my son goes to day care I can only go to a few events. But the ones that I have gone to have been very fun. The dues are $23 a year but you can attend your first couple of activities for free and decide if you want to join. Take a look at it and see if it fits for you and your son.
I don't know of any playgroups. I've been thinking that lately too. I just became a stay at home mom to my 14 month old and brand new baby. I had my son in Daycare at that Kindercare in Centerville. They are wonderful. I live in Kaysville and would like to be a part of a playgroup, so hopefully someone else knows of one! :)
