No, you won't lose your milk. I started my period when DD was 5 months old too and went on to b/f until she was 12 months old. You might have a slight decrease when your period comes, but no biggie.

I got my period 2 months after giving birth, but I was still able to breast feed for 14.5 months. There is a small chance with the hormonal change that your milk might drop a little, but it won't dry up. You can just have your baby nurse a little more often to bring it back up if it happens.

I got my period back the month after giving birth to all 4 of my kids & I breast fed them all with no problem with my milk supply.

Some women get their period back immediately, some might not for a whole year if still breastfeeding... You will not lose your milk, so please don't get too worried or feel you have to wean your infant. Keep hydrated, eat as well as you can nutritionally, and offer the breast often and whenever your child shows signs of hunger. Certain types of hormonal birth controls may wreak havoc on your hormones and cause fluctuations that will complicate your nursing... so be wary of not checking into other kinds of birth controls.

I have been breastfeeding for 5 months too, and I also got my period last week, but have not noticed any change in my breastmilk. The only thing that changes is that we now have a lot higher chance of getting pregnant again if not on bc so be careful lol.
