My daughter has a birthmark on her face that we are seeking possible treatment for . . . do any of you have any experience with Dr. Fred Gahli or Dr. Robin Carder. Supposedly, these are the ONLY 2 Pediatric Dermatologists in the metroplex . . . if you know of anyone else, pls let me know. Thanks!

My 1st daughter has a hemangioma and we saw Dr. Jay Burns at Childrens Medical in Dallas. He is a plastic surgeon that deals with birthmarks. He treated my daughter with oral steroids at 6 months old to control the growth and now at almost 3 her birthmark is almost completely gone. Good luck!

Hello - I just took my daughter to Dr. Ghali's office 2 weeks ago to have a mole looked at. He was wonderful, the staff was all very friendly and my daughter didn't want to leave the waiting area...very kid friendly with every kind of video game you could think of.

I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Gahli is great-diagnosed my son the first time, whilst it had taken other doctors 4 or 5 and they were continually wrong. He is great, nice staff and he wants to help. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Just a thought, if its something you want to remove...make sure to go see a childrens plastic surgeon. Dr.Cristine Carmen in Frisco is an excellent one!

Dr. Gahli is awesome!!! My daughter had molluscum contagiosm when she was younger and we went through countless other painfil treatments through the regular pediatrician. We went to Dr. Gahli one time and he used a different painless treatment. the bumps were gone within a week!!! We really likes him A LOT!!!!

I actually used to work for a pediatric allergist, and we referred all of our patients to Dr. Carder. She's supposed to be fabulous, although I do not have personal experience.

Hi L.,

We saw Dr. Carder about a type of eczema my daughter was born with, but not even my dermatologist could recognize. She knew what it was right away, gave us some guidance on what to expect, as well as the necessary medication. She was very good with my 3 year old; I felt very comfortable with her right away.

Good luck!

L.,

Hello! I used to be neighors w/ Dr. Fred Ghali. He is an awesome doctor and is a great family man. He is sooo nice. You will really like him. His wife is also a pediatrician and they have two kiddos. His office is very nice and they have video games for the kids to play w/ in the waiting area. My son had some warts removed a couple of months ago.
PS...I have a friend who moved back to Maryland and her name was L.. It is such an unusual name that you don't hear very often and I love it.
Good Luck...

We have seen Dr. Gahli for my son's eczema. We really liked the way he talked with my son and the office is kid friendly. Everyone was really nice. My son enjoyed his visits with Dr. Gahli.

My only complaint is that he told us with eczema it happens with some people and there really is no known cause and to treat with steroids. We went to a pediatric allergist who took one look at my son's eczema and suspected food allergies. That was positive (4 of the 8 major food allergies).
