I am really needing child care for 2 1/2 hours daily. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about child care other than daycare. Or, if they have a really good daycare that will only charge me for that time.

I use an excellent daycare - Children's Choice - it is next to Medical Center of Lewisville. They have drop in rates - I think it is $12 an hour - not positive - but I highly recommend the daycare - call and talk to Kim Blair, the director - ###-###-####.

How old is your child? My son is almost 10 months old (the time flies!!). I've been wanting to take care of another child to earn some extra money to keep me home with my boy. If you would like to meet and possibly allow me to take care of your child, that could work out for both of us. I'm actually in Grapevine, not Bedford, as it says. (Need to change my profile!). Perhaps you should ask a stay at home mom if she would mind babysitting for those hours.
I've babysat for short hours on the weekend and I myself have droped off my baby for a couple of hours as well usually during the week when I want to run some errands. I usually charge & am charged $10/hr weekday up to $15/hr on the weekend or at night.
It's nice arrangement if you don't want to take the kids to an important apointment.
