Hi, I'm about to schedule my first appointment at Carle Hospital and am looking for suggestions for Dr.'s....I had a bad experience with Christie ob gyn previously and would like to find the right Dr through pregnancy time. Has anyone had Dr. Joyce Beitel or Dr. Ines Baquero? If any others are suggested I'm open to them as well, I just feel more comfortable hearing something good before signing up under someone. I'm not super familiar with the website and am JUST reading this now :-( I ended up starting with a midwife at carle that I wasn't crazy about and am now with Dr. Wozniak. I disagreed with some of the midwives views, however Dr. Wozniak seems to be really nice. I wish I would have read these earlier though, I think I would have tried Dr. Dillard.

Just to give you an idea of one of the terrible experiences I went through at christie.... I was at work on valentine's day last year, a Saturday around 10 pm, and noticed some spotting. I immediately called christie because my mom warned me it could or could not be serious. I spoke with an answering service and asked that a doctor or nurse be paged. The guy refused to page anyone since I had not actually been in to see the dr. yet, I had only been in to establish I was pregnant and to set up my first appt. He told me to call back monday morning. I told him I was afraid I could be having a miscarriage and he again told me I'd have to call back. Then he refused to give me his name!!! I went in to christie on monday and learned I had had a miscarriage. They offered no sympathy or explanations, just told me about what I would need to do next, pill vs. surgery. Needless to say, I was left feeling horrible that I had caused this. Anyway, things are much better at carle and I appreciate your replies!!
Dr. Frank was great but he is no longer practicing. Dr. Dillard delivered my last and she was awesome!
I haven't been looking for a doctor in awhile, I actually love my doctor at Christie. But when I was trying to find a doctor my friends recommended Dr. Tiffani Dillard or Dr. James Shepherd at Carle. I have also heard really good things about the midwives at Carle.
I strongly recommend the midwife team at Carle - also, Dr. Sheppard was wonderful (for me, the midwives and Dr. Sheppard worked together because I was high risk) I cannot say enough positive things about both the Dr. and especially the midwives at Carle!

if i was able to go to carle i would go with dr dillard. i work with her and think she is great. who did you go to at christie?
