The first day of my last period was Sep. 5 and I'm am normally on about a 25 day cycle. If it isn't to the day, it is normally early so this is no where near normal for me. I haven't changed anything recently like diet or stress, but I am pretty late. I took a home pregnancy test today and it came back negative. I'm not sure if I am getting a false negative but it has gotten me worried.
Now, I have taken another test and that is negative too but still no sign of my period.
I had three at home negatives and a doctor negative before my daughter finally decided to show up and give me a positive. It was so crazy. I "felt" pregnant, but kept seeing no, but was actually pregnant the whole time. I thik I was about 8 wks. It is possible to get a false negative, but not a false positive. I hope it works out as you are wishing!
You should call your ob/gyn and make an appointment. If your just simply late then you can cancel your apt. if not then it can't hurt to have your doctor check you out.
Wait a week, take another test if it doesn't come. Whatever the outcome, might be time to call the doc.

It would seem like you are past due enough that you would get a positive for sure on your pregnancy test if you were pregnant. I would buy another one and if it still negative call your doctor. of course if its positive, call your doctor too :)

This just happened to me and it turned out I had an ovarian cyst. If you still haven't started call your doctor and have them check you out.
if you bought a multi-pack - either wait one more week or take it with your first morning urine when the hormones are greatest.
If you take it next week and it's still negative, go to your OB/GYN for a check up to see if there is something else going on...
Since now you are stressing - it might delay it even more. You can talk yourself into any condition....false or no...there are women who have convinced themselves they are pregnant and get swollen breasts, pooch, etc....the mind is a very powerful thing!
It's possible the urine was too dilute for a test to detect the hormone. Did you use your first morning urine?
