My friend has a boy that will be 12 in August. She is a single mom & works in Batavia near the outlet. She doesnt want to leave her son at home during summer vacation so she is looking for someone to watch him for the summer. She lives in Montgomery near the new walmart. She starts work at 7:30-4:00, so hours of care would be 7-4:30. If anyone is interested or knows of someone that may be interested please contact me.

Thank you

Hi, do you know if your friend found someone? I have a 5 year old and now an infant but am looking to take care of a school aged child during the summer at my home in Naperville to make some extra money while my husband starts up a new insurance business. I'd be willing to pick up and drop off. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! S.

JC, I sent you a message with my phone numbers for your girlfriend. Have her give me a call. I have filled 1 spot but have room for 4 more. I am only taking older kids in the 7 to 12 year age group this year. As we will be doing stuff for the older ages. field trips etc. no diapers and bottles. hope to hear from her soon.

hope to hear from anyone else in the montgomery / oswego area looking for daycare for the 7-12 year old age group that needs summer care. I will be open from 7am-5pm. looking for full time kids but will consider part time if it fits with our schedule. feel free to contact me if your looking for daycare for older children who don't want to be lumped in with babies.

Hi JC.

I am a licensed daycare provider. From past experience with having older children during the summer months has been a problem for me, just because the older child is terrible bored because there is noone his age to play with. I would highly recommend to your friend to enroll her child into a summer camp program. They are several offered all over and may have one that he is interested in, say soccer, baseball, etc. Or she can check out the park district programs where she lives or works near. They would have children his own age to socialize with and to be honest the cost to the park distict would be cheaper than paying for a sitter. Good Luck! D. check out the YMCA in Aurora (on New York street) for him. That will be so much more fun then a daycare or sitter cause they have so many activities for them, field trips and fun things to do
