Need Male GP in Mid-Cities

Hi Moms. Can anyone recommend a male GP in the Mid-Cities Area? This is for my husband. A practice that also has a female doc would be great so we could both go there. Also, I am looking for doctors who take a more naturalistic approach, if possible. In otherwords, they won't just prescribe a drug for every ailment. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone who recommended docs in the Mid Cities area. I compiled a whole list and researched their office hours and everything. I gave the list to my husband who promptly proceeded to lose it. Then he decided that he just wanted to go to the closest person who accepted our insurance. So although the research seems to have been in vain, I am going to use the information when I need to find a doctor for myself. Thanks again.

Wherever you decide, I would specifically look for a DO instead of an MD. DO are osteopathic doctors (they are both doctors). They focus on preventive care and looking at the whole body instead of treating you for every symptom, which sounds like what you are wanting. Do a google search on the differences but I prefer DO's myself for the same reason. Good luck.

My husband and I go to MaxHealth in Colleyville. They also have a Flower Mound Office if you can't get into Colleyville the day you need to. I go to Dr. Kim Warfield and my husband goes to Dr. Jeff Bullard. I have seen nearly everyone in the offices since I have been a patient of theirs for 8 years. They listen and don't waste your time. I usually can get an appointment the day I call. Also, I have not had to wait very long to be seen. 5 min in waiting room, 10 minutes nurse takes vitals and checks off your symptoms, 5 minutes and then I see the Dr or PA. I highly recommend them. I know several families that use and love them.

This doc doesn't meet all of your criteria, but we've been seeing Dr. Sharon Dennis in Arlington (we live in Euless) for a few months. She's a former midwife who is now a Family Practioner, a DO. She is not quick to prescribe medication; she uses natural remedies at times and even homeopathic medications when appropriate. She has been supportive of our decision to delay vaccinations on our 12 month old.

Another FP we've used is Dr. Jay Story in Coppell. He takes lots of time to listen to his patients and is not quick to prescribe medications either.

I see a female Dr I really like named Dr Gloria Anding. My husband sees one of their several male physicians. They are a well thought of group in the area. Good luck!

We love the Medical Center at Riverside in Grand Prarie. They are on 360 right before you get to Arlington. Dr Ken Katzen and his brother Kevin Katzen are the main Drs. They were trained by their father who was a doctor and teacher. My husband sees Kena and I see Dr Susie Calson, nurse PA. She has a doctorate in nursing and teaches in her spare time the nurses that want to become PA's. Ken and Kevin have OD's not MD's and they are very open to listening to their patients and not following what insurance dictates. Now with two children, they see the entire family. We have used them for many years and have been very happy!

I can second the vote for Colleyville Medical Associates. My husband sees Dr. Bell. I see Dr. Walter. Our daughter used to see Dr. Justice. We've been with them for about 8 years. They used to be in Irving where we live. They merged with another team of physicians a few years ago.

They are part of the Baylor Health system. They also have a website where you can schedule an appointment and read more about the doctors. It's one male and five females and about an equal number of DO's and MD's
