I am 17 years old and am about to be a mother I want to put my daughter on health insurance but can't seem to find a way.
I am currently unemployed, but my parents are willing to pay for the insurance.
We tried to add her to their health insurance (Cigna) but they would not allow it without me signing over guardianship or them adopting my daughter.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Or know an insurance plan that would help my situation?

What can I do next?

You need to apply for medicaid! the medicaid will provide prenatal care for you and then continue caring for the baby til the child is 5 years old. Go to the health dept they will do a pregnancy test and help you apply. Finances are not an issue.

Usually there is state insurance for children. I don't know about Florida- Texas has one, and most states I know of have it.

Medicaid and Wica for the baby. Sign up for wica so you can get milk for your baby. Some hospitals have outpatient type of healthcare for those who work but don't make enough for insurance but to much for medicaid. Call your local outpatient care. I think its called primary care.

I don't know about Florida, but California has a state-offered program to give coverage to children. You might see what your state has to offer.

If you are on your parents insurance, they should also be able to put the baby on. Have your father discuss this with HR. They should be able to assist you. We have Cigna here and I have grandchildren on the policy with their grandparents if their daughter is on as well.

Have you tried Medicaid? I believe they'll give it to you and the baby.

Doesn't Florida have some sort of county-paid medical insurance like california has Medi-Cal? I bet if you call your local social services department they can tell you how to apply for county-funded health insurance. She should qualify since you are under age, and unemployed. Your parents' income/assets should not count.

Healthy Kids through the state of Florida. I have my children on it and prefer it to ANY other insurance plan out there. They take great care of your child, and there are little to no out of pocket cost for healthcare. For example, I got an insulin pump for my son. They cost $10,000, and I paid $0!!! With our low income, I don't know what I would do without it. Sign up now, it takes a few months to get it into effect. I would not recommend handing over guardianship to your daughter, my brother's ex-wife did this for the same reason and lost her son altogether! I'm not saying your parents would do this, but they wield WAY TOO MUCH POWER, and it takes away from you being the parent.
