I am going to a dinner tonight and am bringing dessert. I had planned to make a fresh peach pie however there are no ripe peaches to be found sigh... So now I need something else that will be good but not super hard to make. I don't want the average box cake with canned frosting. I was thinking about making an arkansas pig licken cake but can't find my recipe. Anyone have something wonderful thats easy?

Assortment of berries, store-bought pound cake/angel food cake and home made whipped cream. Easy, easy, easy but looks beautiful when served.

I made a flourless chocolate cake for my mom's bday last week and it was one of the easiest, fastest most delicious desserts I've ever made. I noticed many of the reviews about it state that the cake is their go-to dessert for pot lucks!!

I came across this cake recipe the other day, I'm planning on making it for hubby's birthday next week. Looks sooooo good. It has a brownie bottom and white cake on top (box or homemade) and cream cheese icing. Can never go wrong with cream cheese icing, yum. Never heard of an Arkansas pig licken cake, lol.

This recipe for an Apple Cake-Pie is super easy! However, it is a bit time consuming due to the peeling & slicing of apples. So if not today, make sure to bake it sometime, it is SO tasty!!

http://www.recipegirl.com/2013/09/30/cinnamon-apple-pie-c...

Now, a few things of note:

-We made extra cinnamon-sugar, & sprinkled over each layer of apples

-You can either line the bottom of the springform pan with parchment paper, or put the pan on a cookie sheet when you bake it, as the cake batter is very runny & might otherwise drip.

Soooooo delicious! And super moist. Enjoy!! T. =-)

Pound cake & berries if you are taking individual dishes, or you could do it in a large glass bowl:
http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/pound-cake-fruit-parfaits...
This recipe includes peaches which you're not going to be able to use, but you could use 2 types of berries (blueberries & raspberries, or small pieces of peeled kiwi). You can top with real whipped cream.

Or, do 7 Layer Bars: 1 package regular graham cracker crumbs (one of the 3 packets in the box, crushed in food processor or blender, about 1 and 2/3 cups), 1 stick of butter: melt the butter in a rectangular pan about 8 x 10, then dump in the crumbs, mix well and flatten until a crust on the bottom using the back of a fork. Then sprinkle across the crust 9 ounces of chocolate chips and 9 ounces of either butterscotch or peanut butter chips (about 1.5 cups of each type). Top that with 1 cup of shredded coconut and 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Quantities are approximate - it doesn't really matter! Top the whole thing with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, drizzling it slowly (it's thick anyway) so it covers most of the toppings. It will drip down in the crevices a little but some of the toppings will stick out. That's fine. Bake at 325 for 35 minutes until top is light brown. Cool completely and cut into bars. Decadent.

This is really good and super easy!! Chocolate moose. Get the small boxes of instant chocolate pudding 1 box will serve 4 half cup servings. And then cool whip. 1 8 oz container will make two recipes. For the pudding mix together 1 1/4 cups. Of milk with thr pudding for 2 to three mminutes using a whisk and then fold in the thawed cool whip. And let it sit in the fridge for a little while. Super super easy and really yummy

I only make EASY things! When I have to make dessert for a party, I always make a trifle. I have done all kinds of different ones. I buy the premade pound cake so it's easier. The rest of the stuff you just layer it in. And I have a trifle bowl but if you don't, any large bowl will do. Here a link to a few but everyone is always impressed and you can't really go wrong. http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/course/desserts/top-10...
