Need a Make up Update

Good afternoon, Ladies! I'm looking for a new make-up line. I've been using MaryKay on and off for about 20years and Bare Minerals more recently. I've always used the MaryKay skin care--but it doesn't seem to be having the same affect as it use to--my skin seems to be much drier. I was using Bare Minerals for the foundation, but when I recently ran out--I didn't want to go buy more b/c it has gotten kind of blah, too. When I ran out of Bare Minerals, I went back to using the MaryKay liquid foundation--it is not doing wonders either.
I am in my late 30's and have always had really good skin. A little uneven here or there but for the most part, it's been easy and as far as acne goes, I've been very lucky. I'm seeing few wrinkles too, but isn't that the result of life?
Anyway--if anyone has been using a product they are really happy with I would appreciate any info you can send my way. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi!

I would highly recommend Bobbi Brown cosmetics. I have been using them for years. I find the line to be really versatile. You can look very natural or with a different application look good to go out at night. It sounds like you would do well with their tinted moisturizer instead of foundation. My sister can use that but I need the foundation because I have difficult skin. Some of the stuff seems expensive but it lasts for a really long time. I would recommend going to the make-up counter in Nordstroms and get a free make-over. Just tell them you are looking for a new make-up line. I always ask a ton of questions about how to apply, changing colors, etc. I also go in for make-overs when I am looking for a new look or colors - that way I can see the colors on me before I buy them. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!

I love BeautiControl. They have a website that I order from. They have a whole product line. I love their skin care line that is specific for ages and conditions and the makeup is great. I sometimes can't remember if I put makeup on or not because it is so light feeling but looks great.

Give your Mary Kay consultant a call and set up a complimentary skin care appt. Let her know what's going on with your skin and foundation and she can help you change things up until you are happy with your products.

In my make-up experience, I have to alternate foundations because after a while one just doesn't have the same effect. I have to do some mixing and matching. I think that it's a matter of really knowing your skin and the cycles of it. I use L'Oreal True Match and mix it with one of their bronzing liquids. It's not as easy as you'd think to match your skin's (over and under) tones.

Use Tea Tree (mixed with water) as an astringent or straight to "spot clean". It seems to know exactly how far to go with the drying, no over-drying. Oen major key for me is an awesome moisturizer. That sets the whole thing in motion.
