Narrow Booster Seat - Chantilly,VA

I'm looking for a booster seat that will allow for three across. All three of my kids are in booster seats; however, the three we have don't fit three across. I have a car with three rows so it's not usually an issue. We will be traveling in December and I'm hoping to get three narrow boosters so we can get a regular SUV rental and then use these seats in my husband's car.

What can I do next?

I have a booster from Walmart that I got to just have an extra seat for my kids' friends, etc. and it's pretty narrow. It doesn't have cup holders or anything fancy at all, and I think that helps in keeping it streamlined! It was inexpensive, like maybe $20.

I had two still in boosters when my youngest was born. I got Diono (then Sunshine Kids) seats for all 3. I was able to fit 2 boosters and one rear facing convertible in the middle row with ease. We were able to fit 8 people in our mini-van, 3 kids and 5 adults, comfortably. We did move the boosters to the back row and left the carseat in the middle row. Our youngest is still in a Diono booster now.

I've had many, many car seats and needed this same solution about two years ago. The absolute best seat for this is made by Diono. They have a whole line of thin car seats designed exactly for this problem.

If they have backs on them then it's not going to be easy. They take up a lot of room. I would use the van in December and fold some seats down so you have more floor room for luggage.

I found that the really inexpensive ones - backless, no cup holders or other bells/whistles - were the most narrow. I think the ones I have are Gracos, and I fit 3 across in my Ford Fusion.

How old are the kids. Do you need harness boosters or are they big enough for belt booster. Knowing that would help.

I bought BumbleBum's for when we are traveling. They blow up! Awesome.
