Moving to Tinley Park

We're moving from Oak Lawn to Tinely Park. My daughter is currently at Penny Lane, which she loves! Her teachers are wonderful so I'm a little nervous about the switch. I saw a review on the Oak Forest Kindercare which is about 4 miles from our new house. Any other experiences out there with the Tinley Park/Oak Forest area daycares?

Thanks for your help!

Hi J.,

I am as you speaking am moving from Country Club Hills to Justice. I have utilized Kindercare for several years. I found the Center to well structured however, I found a Home Daycare Center that provide my son Matt with better learning. You need to do your research on the Home daycares versus the Centers, I found my son learned more with home daycare instead of the center because she was able to give one on one.

I hope this helps you a little...

Good Luck

Lauren

Hi J.,

I personally don't have any suggestions on daycare centers however, I do watch children in my home. Right now I don't have any additional children in my home besides my own children. My 2 boys go to preschool in the mornings and I have a little girl home with me all day. I am looking to watch one child in my home during the day. I love to teach them their colors, shapes, numbers and alphabets. As well as doing crafts and other developmental projects as well as get outside when the weather allows (we have a nice swing set in our fenced backyard). If you haven't found a daycare center yet I would love to talk with you and see if we could make it work with me watching your little one.

Please feel free to either email me (____@____.com) or call me ###-###-####). I live in Richton Park and am only 10 minutes from Tinley Park. I am very flexible.

I'm not sure if in home day care would be an option for you, but I would love to help you with childcare. My husband and I just moved into our first home and I would like to provide working moms with good childcare. My goal is to provide more of a family enviroment rather than a day care setting. My rates are lower than the day care centers and include all meals (mostly home cooked). We do many fun activities such as painting, reading, baby sign language, etc. I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys ages 2 & 5. If you or any one you know may be interested please feel free to email me at ____@____.com

Hi, J.
There are some childcare centers that I know around Tinley Park:
Kindercare on 183rd /175th str.,
Noona's (spelling) on 183rd Str./171st Str.,
Sandbox, 82nd /159th street, Orland Park.
I am not sure for the exact addresses, you can do some research on Internet. I am passing by few of these on may way to work. I chose Tutor Time on 183rd Str./80th Ave, because is right next door to my office. My son is 7 mos now, first time mom, first Daycare, so I can't compare, but is good so far.
