Does anyone have any recommendations for a good mover from the mid cities area to FW? Or any major red flags that I should know about?? We are moving to a one story house from a two story house. It has been a long time since we moved - any tips for moving and packing or things you wished you would have done?? Thanks!

What can I do next?

hey girl, i'm moving sunday & i'm using Starving Students. I called approx 5 places & they gave me the cheapest quote. It's going to be $75/hr but on Saturday it would've been $85/hr. There's a 15% charge on top of the final amount but i'm expecting to spend approx $350. Still expensive but SO WORTH IT to me!!!
one of the moving tips i did read but haven't done yet myself, is to pack up a bag of toiletries, clothes, etc for a few days & just live out of that. so you can go ahead & pack up everything else & then just zip up the bag your'e using & go. sounded easy....but we know how that goes.
good luck mama!

We used Mayflower and had a good experience. They provided the boxes and packing material, I packed most of it, we moved our fragile things ourselves since we were moving less than 3 miles away and they did all the heavy things.

Good luck!

Firefighting's Finest. Www.fortworthmovers.com

They moved us a little over a year ago. Very professional, prompt, and great customer service.

Also, I bought the color coded packing tape from uhaul. The movers followed the color coding and put the boxes in the assigned rooms without having to stop and ask me constantly. Made the move faster, thereby making it cheaper. It also made unpacking a lot easier since everything was already in the room it needed to be unpacked in.
