Molar Pregnancy - La Conner,WA

I had a molar pregnancy a little over a year ago. I've just found out I'm pregnant again and I was wondering if anyone knows how soon I will be able to find out if this is another molar or a real one. I have a dr. app coming very soon, but the waiting is killing me. I'm trying very hard not to get attached to this baby inside me, just incase it's not really there, but I'm finding that very difficult. Does anyone have experience with this? Anyone have two molar pregnancies in a row? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all so much. I do however know what a real pregnancy feels like as I have two little girls already. But when I had the molar, we didn't find out until I went for my 12 wk check up to hear the heartbeat. I was starting to show already too. The pregnancy felt exactly the same as my other ones, which is why this one is freaking me out. But hearing that a lot of you had normal pregnancies after a molar is really helpful. So again, thank you so much.

My cousin had a "partial mole" (In a partial molar pregnancy, an incomplete embryo and placenta may actually start to develop... her baby had a heartbeat, but died at 13 weeks) and went on to have a healthy baby boy within a year and a half. Hope that helps.

ive never had one but i have had a chemical pregnancy. It was totally weird because i had all the tests come up positive which isnt normal for me because i have never had a positive pregnancy test even tho i have two child and have had two miscarriages. But i do know that if u start bleeding you will know right away. Also how far along should you be right about now? You will know by your drs appointment for sure and also if you dont have any kids already its going to be even worse of a weight since you dont know what signs of a real pregnancy you are looking for. Good luck and i have my fingers crossed that its real!!!!

First of all, I'm so very sorry! I don't know much about molar pregnancies so I'm sorry I can't really be of any help there. I just wanted to say that you can't protect your heart. My first baby was stillborn and I was a mess the following 2 pregnancies. But you can't help but be hopeful. Best of luck to you. I'm sure all is well.

I looked up molar pregnancy to kind of refresh myself about it. Ask.com does say that chance of a recurrence of molar pregnancies is very small. It doesn't give the exact percentage, but these are somewhat rare to begin with. I know that doesn't help much, but good luck. Try to be positive, I'm sure everything will be ok this time.

I didn't really know about molar pregnancies. I looked it up on WebMD. Info there wasn't really all that helpful. It did say that your chances of a normal pregnancy after a molar one are about the same as anyone else.

It does say that molar pregnancies can be identified when they are very small, so I'm sure your doctor will be able to check everything at your upcoming appointment.

Try to relax & do something to keep your mind off of it! I hope everything turns out well for you!

My older sister had a molar pregnancy several years ago and now has a healthy, beautiful 7 month old. When I got pregnant with my kidlet a couple of years ago, I was very concerned that I might have a molar pregnancy too since my sister had. As I recall, your HCG levels can actually indicate a possible molar pregnancy even early on (and I'm sure your doc will look for this if you express your concerns). I think the HCG from a molar pregnancy is really high - much higher than a normal, or even twin early pregnancy. Just talk to your doctor, and I'm sure he or she will be able to ease your mind.

One of my daughters had a partial molar pregnancy two years ago. The baby seemed to be doing fine for a while, and then everything went wrong and she died. My daughter and her husband were devastated. Then she had to get checkups for several months to make sure she didn't have cancer.

The good news? They're presenting us with our first grandson in a couple of weeks. They've stayed in very close contact with the doctor, for obvious reasons, but everything has gone well this time.

Be patient. I'm the type of person who prepares myself for the worst and then can hope for the best. Hope you are, too.

I had a Molar pregnancy and after the year I got pregnant with a healthy boy who is now 4yr. I know how hard a molar p. can be. I am so sorry. I am sure this one is fine.
