Looking for Great Pediatrician in Monmouth Cty.

I had put in a request asking for help finding a great pediatrician. I received back about 5 responses (all helpful !), however, I am still confused as to how to choose one. I'm not comfortable calling and 'interviewing' a potential Dr. its just not my personality. I live in Wall Twp, which is in Monmouth County and would like a Dr. that does not administer those 'coctail' immunizations that I have heard about. So, one more time, any suggestions on a wonderful pediatrician ?

Thanks !

Hi J., My daughter goes to Ocean Pediatrics right in the Brielle Hills office park on Rt. 70 in Brielle. We are VERY happy with them. She is only 2 and a half but we have gone through our share of health issues and concerns as she was born at 27 weeks. This group of doctors has been great. She usually sees Dr. Rughani for her well visits but has seen all of them at one time or another. I highly recommend this group. Best of luck, Jen L. Oh, and congratulations on your pregnancy. Best wishes for a happy and healthy new little boy!

Hi J.,
We have a son who will be two at the end of AUgust. We live in Ocean Twp. and initially we used the Ocean Pediatric Group. We also liked the idea that they did not administer the "coctail" immunizations. However, when our son Christian was first born he needed to be readmitted into the hospital at 3 days old. He was believed to have bacterial meningitis but a spinal tap collection could not be obtained after two tries so we do not know for sure (he was treated anyway as if he had it). Dr. Rhugani was great but Dr. Farrell was extremely harsh and abrupt. He told me over the phone that my newborn baby would die if I did not do all the tests. ANyway, after we got through that experience we switched to TLC pediatrics in Shrewsbury. ALl of the doctors in my ob/gyn office use them. We usually see Dr. Appulingam. SHe is WONDERFUL!! We use the "old" shot schedule, and therefore our baby does not get bombarded with more than two shots a visit. I also noticed someone wrote in about Dr. Lipp. I have heard wonderful things about him as well, but I think he may be the only dr. in the practice (not sure though).

We have been using Brick Pediatrics for the past 8 years and they are great. Dr Mendoza retired this year. Dr Rashmi Sandeep has taken over. They are on the corner of Rt 70 & Burnt Tavern Road. ###-###-####

I know of a practice in which I feel is great, but the parents must feel comfortable with the doctors themselves. I once took my sister (whom I raised) to a doctor and they talked to her and ME like a baby I felt very strange and sometimes underminded. But we have found a practice in Ocean Twp. off of West Park, the doctors name is Alfred Lipp and the whole staff is great.
