HELP! I'm due in 4 weeks and I still havent decided on a Pediatrician. I've narrowed it down to the Matthews Childrens Clinic or the Center for Child and Adolescent Medicine in Matthews. Please let me know if any of you have been to these offices. I don't want to go to a place where we have to wait forever to be seen.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I decided to go with Matthews Childrens Clinic. Dr. Lavonnas and Dr. Thomas saw him in the hospital and I was instantly happy with my decision. He has since seen Dr. Lavonnas and Dr. Weisse in the office and I am very pleased with them. The office staff is very nice and helpful. I really like that they have weekend hours as well

We go to Matthews Children's Clinic and we never wait. I've actually been called while still checking in. They even have a 'sick' and 'well' waiting room. The only thing I go back and forth with is the fact that the office is huge and I might want something a little smaller/ personal as she gets older.

I take both of my children to Matthews Children's Clinic. I love everyone there. It is clean, the Dr's and nurses are great. My children have both had medical issues and the Dr's there have been very responsive and I couldn't be happier. We see Dr. Lavonas who is female and has a son who is almost 2, so she is going through the samethings that you will be going through. We also see Dr. Spies who is male when Dr. Lavonas isn't available. I have seen other Dr's there and there is not one that i do not appove of. MCC is also open on saturdays and Sundays for a few hours. So, then you don't have to go to the ER if your child is very sick. Hope that helps with your choice.

We go to Matthews Children's Clinic & love it. I have 2 boys (almost 2 & 4) & we've lived on this side of town & gone to MCC for 2 1/2 years. We were originally referred by a friend to Dr. Pamela Young (who is great) but we have been seeing Dr. Walter Thomas for the past several visits & my sons LOVE HIM! Large practice - have to call a few months in advance to get a well appointment (when you want it) - will work in a sick child anytime, though. If you choose MCC, the dr on call at the hospital will see your baby & they automatically schedule the follow up appt for the next week, etc. Good Luck!
