Looking for a Good Pediatrician - Bradenton,FL

Hi T.! I also live off of SR 64 in Mill Creek. I love my ped and was recommended by her from my Maternal-Fetal Medicine OB/GYN. (She takes her kids to her as well) Her name is Dr. Vanessa Victor-Linkenhoker and she is at Bayside Pediatrics. Their number is ###-###-#### and they are located at 5115 Manatee Ave W. It does take me about 25 min to get there. I have 3 kids with another on the way and they ALWAYS get me in...they never have me wait in the waiting room and Dr. Victor along with her staff and always wonderfully pleasant. If Dr. Victor does not know what is causing something, she does not hesitate to refer to a specialist. Good luck!

We just had our first little girl in May - we go to Dr. Lopez on 64 and he is AWESOME!!! He is very down to earth and explains everything wonderfully! I would recommend him to anyone thats looking for a ped!

I would 100% recommend Dr. Lopez and Dr. White's office (Pediatric Partners). They have a wonderful office staff and are extremely caring and down to earth doctors. They have meet and greets I think once a month... their number is ###-###-#### and they are located on SR64.

My kids go to Dr Gross and I couldnt be happier. Only thing though, which I dont know if anyone else mentioned or not, she does not do rounds at the hospitals because of the structure of her office/hours. She is an amaazing ped. though!

We really like Dr. Catherine Giangreco--even though she is a little far to drive for us--our other dr. was closer--but she is extrememly thorough. She is on 26th, on the west side of 41. Our other ped.was extrememly nice, and I loved his office staff, but he was I feel a bit lax in addressing problems. The first day we went to Dr. Giangreco, she asked if I ever had my 7yr old screened for thyroid disease. She said she could tell by looking at her that the disease could be causing some of the many things that weren't-quite-right about my daughter. Sure enough, she was correct. Our other ped. had been seeing my daugther since age 3, and had never even suggested looking further into what my child's problems were--I even had to ASK for a diabetes test when I was tryingto self-diagnose my own kid!
"Dr. Catherine" and her staff are top-notch in our book!

I take my daughter to Dr. Patricia Blanco off of University in the University Park Medical Center. They're going to be moving soon, though, further out University to just before I-75. She is very good and very thorough. She takes her time and is genuinely interested in the children. Very nice and sweet, too. I actually switched to her recently from Dr. Catherine Giangreco because my daughter has severe food allergies and Dr. Blanco was much more knowledgeable in that particular area. But both seem to be great with general pediatrics, though. Good luck in your search!

My son is almost 2 and I have used Dr. Palacio. She loves children so much I couldn't imagine using anyone else. She is great with my son, and was very encouraging for me when my son was a newborn.
Several of my friends do use Lopez & White and they have been very happy with them too. Good luck!

My daughter goes to Dr Taylor at Giangreco Scarano and Taylor's office. Someone else mentioned that their child went to Giangreco at this office. They are wonderful. They can always make appointments right away, and i have never waiting in the waiting room for more than about 10 mins.

My brother takes my niece to Dr White, who I actually tried to get my dtr to but they were not taking new patients. I have heard nothing but wonderful things from them as well. Dr White actually fouund a hole in my niece's heart at 2 weeks, which I guess is pretty hard to notice that young

My son's pediatrician is Dr. Frias with APC Pediatrics. He is such a wonderful doctor. You can tell that he really cares about his patients. Also when you need to ask questions about something you are unsure about he is great with after hour calls. The voice mail goes straight to his cell phone and he is always the doctor that calls back. Dylan (my son)loves him. APC Pediatrics is on SR 70. Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck.

Absolutely! Dr. Mickey Alvarez and his staff is the best I have seen. My three children are now 12, 12, and 11 and he still makes them laugh. But, the best part for me is that he is so darn smart and has never been wrong yet with any of his diagnostics. And on top of it all, he will recommend home remedies over prescription medication anytime .... but he always gives you a prescription for you to have in your possession. He'll call you too, if he's concerned about the case, to follow up with the child's progress. This is an incredibly caring facility and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get in. They return all of my phone calls, and they'll see your child in a moments' notice. I highly recommend this Pediatrician. Oh, there is also a sick area and a healthy area for waiting.

T., We use Dr. Frederico Frias on SR 70 (at the entrance to Peridia) and could not be happier. He is very kind and seems to truely care about his patients. And will spends as much time as you need. Never makes you feel like you are bothering him after hours. We have been with him for 1 1/2 years after our other pediatrician retired that we had used for 9 years. I scheduled my intervie with him and he spent over 45 minutes with us during his lunch time (one on one not going to a meet and greet night with several other pospective families) and never made me feel rushed. Oh yeah one more important thing my kids love him too, they are 10, 6 and 2 1/2 and never give me a hard time about going to see him (except for the dreaded shots) I hope this helps a little. My pediatrician is Miguel Alvarez, (Dr. Mickey) at the Lakewood Ranch medical center. Even though no one has mentioned him here I highly recommend him! He is wonderful! I have never had to wait for our appts. and he spends so much time with you. I wish I could find an adult doctor like him! My kids have never been fearful of going to see him. The whole staff is great too. They always return your phone calls quickly, and will answer lots of questions without making you come in. Good luck!
