Has anyone used Lilypadz and/or the reusable, washable cotton nursing pads? What are they like? What do you recommend?

Thanks.

Lilypadz are great! Highly recommend. Work in completely different way then absorbing the liquid and being a wet pad.

I'm actually going to purchase another pair of Lilypadz. I love them! I had a pair with my first son and they worked great. With my second son, he's 6 weeks, I've used disposable pads. They work ok but I do have leaks here and there. I would definitely recommend them!

I've used both. I like the washable ones for at home or night time, and the LIlypadz for going out and about. They are completely invisible and worked great for me.

I don't know what lilypadz are, but i used 2 different types of washable nursing pads, and really liked them. they just seemed softer on my skin and i liked to think that they were more breathable than the disposable kind that have the plastic backing... i also kind of hated having the disposable ones with adhesive, when the adhesive stuck to my breast i was not happy about that!!!

I used the reusable cotton pads and I loved them. They were absorbent enough for me, and it felt great not to be throwing pads away everyday.

I did try some disposable pads (the brand name was something like "Lansinol") and I didn't care for that brand. They seemed bulky, they really didn't contour to my body, and the adhesive sucked.

I tried several different disposable nursing pads and liked the Lansinol (sp?) ones the best. They were contoured and fit the best...and no leaks. If I get the opportunity again, I will try the cloth kind. I went to cloth diapering and found that the lady who made my daughter's diapers also makes cloth products for women, too. Her name is Amy and her company is TwigandVine.com If her nursing pads are as great as the cloth diapers, then they should be awesome!

Just a suggestion. Never heard of Lilypadz.

I only breastfed for two months (daughter could have no lactose so we switched to formula) and I used both the disposable and reusable nursing pads during that time.

I did like the cloth nursing pads but I seemed to soak through them quickly during the day BUT I used them at night, they were so comfy while sleeping. I would have to change pads ever 2 hours, and they would start to smell a little if I did not wash them right away, not sure what brand I used. I only had five and it seemed to take forever for them to air dry.

I used disposable ones when I was a work otherwise I would soak through a cloth one within 2 hours and I would work at least 5 hours. Also I used the disposable ones at home when it seemed I was very "milky" that day. Brand: Lansinch.

I loved the Lilypadz - they were so easy to wash in the sink in the mornings. They were the only pads that I used. They're more expensive up front, but are so easy to wash and use. I had 2 pair and that worked well for me.
