Have any of you moms liked using either of these two products for making your own baby food? Thanks!

I am not yet making baby food as my daughter is only 12 weeks old however, I accidentally discovered that the Magic Bullet is fabulous for this! I "over-pureed" some beans one day and thought how easy and wonderful this would be for making baby food. I went hunting around online and sure enough - it gets rave reviews from moms for baby food making. The great thing about it is that once you make the food, you just nsap a lid on the container you blended it in and pop it in the fridge. Less mess and cleanup! Magic Bullets are sold everywhere. Target has a good price. They also have a knock off version of it which got good reviews as well. You can use it for so many other things that it might be better than the other two products you mentioned. Just my two cents!

I just went through this and found the following:
1. Magic Bullet was no good for the first 2 stages. It didn't puree well(Carrots, green beans, peas). I am sure it will work for later stages when the food can be chunkier.
2. Cuisinart-Same as the Magic Bullet and harder to clean!
3. Vitamix Blender with the smaller container. I bought mine online. It works great! You can adjust how smooth or chunky the texture is.

When I used the other 2 machines, my baby got a bit of diaper rash because the veggies irritated her on the way out since it wasn't fully digested (not pureed enough). Ever since I switched to the Vitamix...no more diaper rash!
We make enough for the week and freeze it into cubes. I then leave it in the fridge all day and heat it on the stove in a double boil to feed her at dinner.
Good luck!

I have a Braun immersion blender that I like - I got it *after* my kids were past baby food though so I can't comment as to how well it would've worked for that, but I know I would have loved to have used it for big batch purees instead of having to toss my steamed veggies into the Cuisinart food processor :-). I also used a plain old potato masher for making slightly lumpy homemade baby food and that worked pretty well when my kids were ready for a little more texture in their foods.

Hi there,
I used this: http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Food-Mill-1-unit/dp/B00016X0GY...

I don't have any advice on the ones you mentioned, but I loved that^ one.
My daughter would spit out baby food, and it was a challenge starting solids. When I tried the grinder, she cleaned her plate! I guess she didn't like the liquidy pureed baby food.
