Well, you know you could have just called me ;)! But seriously, I have a whole book on it I'll just give you. Its all about blending cooked veggies, meats, fruits with water, formula, or bm. I used freezer trays to freeze 1 ounce servings, but alas, my daughter never liked any sort of babyfood, so it was all for naught. Hope you had good times this holiday when you were out of town...time to get together again.

Hi L.!

There's a website that I like to visit called www.kidsorganics.com. They have all kinds of information about eating healthy and different alternatives to the everyday things we buy from food to cleaning products. If you go to the website and click on "newborn" in the first paragraph, they have all kinds of information from music, to breastfeeding, to solids... I have a 4mo old son myself and started him on solids (rice cereal) this weekend. There's some interesting information on there!

I hope this helps!

The best advice I can give you is...Don't let yourself make this difficult. Babyfood is very bland and that is fine. I went to the store and wrote down the different food combinations on jars. I bought frozen fruits and veggies (cheaper) and mixed them myself. I used a steamer for the veggies. Cooked the meats and put them in the blender with water to thin.

I tried making it for my daughter when she was little. She is two now. The problem I found was consitany. I had a really hard time getting the right mixture togeather. I finly gave up and very carfully checked the jar foods. We only purched the ones that were peas and water, carrots and water, ect. We used gerber they were the right consistacny and she liked them a lot better. She also got a much bigger veriaty of foods since there were item I didn't and don't know how to cook that she got while she was eating baby food. She had what our doctor called a healthly bata-cariten glow from carrots and squash and all the good orange veggies. I wish you luck with which ever you try. :)
