I have been having the excruciating stomachache and backpain since 6 hours ago. It was sudden, and didn't stop til now.
I need to seek help, where should I go, what should I do.
We went to Urgent Care a year ago, and they charged us 585 dollars for a knee xray for my son.
I have a family doctor but we have to make a schedule ahead.
Oh my...the pain is badd..help me..thanks

Is there anyone know the cheap clinic based on income? Should I wait till tomorrow to see how it goes or must I go now?

What can I do next?

Go to the ER. Most hospitals have a charity fund to pay for the bills when the patients can't afford them. You just need to ask for the hospital social worker.

Go to the ER. I understand what you are saying about the money, years ago I would do the same thing. It's about your health mama! Some hospitals have an "Angel" fund, apparently ppl contribute to the hospital just for ppl like you. I don't think they advertise it, but ask. I went once and when the bill came I just ignored it cause I didn't have the money. Then I received a letter from the "Angels", they covered my bill in its entirety.

They also offer payment plans, look into that. I assume you don't have health insurance? Apply for medicaid, if approved they will take care of outstanding bills within the last 90 days. I think its 90 days it may be less but I know its at least 30 days.

In my state if your employer doesn't offer the benefits or the premium is more than your income will allow, you qualify for it.

Good Luck and a speedy recovering to you!

CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY !!!!! She what she/he recommends.

You need to seek medical attention.

As far as costs.... Urgent Care facilities and hospitals will set up a payment plan with you. There are programs that offer reduced costs for low income families. Now is not the time to be worried about that, your health is what is most important.

Well, it's either urgent care or the ER -- I wouldn't wait if it's that bad and it's a weekend. On our insurance plan, the ER is more expensive than Urgent Care. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Could be gall bladder/gall stone trouble.
Though if you are feeling a back ache (in kidney area), could be kidney stones.
When you eat, stick with low fat meals.
Drink plenty of fluids (water, tea).
See your doctor soon as you can.
If the pain comes back, go to ER.

Sorry hun, but you need to go to the ER now. It could be many different things. Even if you don't have money, you can still be treated by the er and get the care you need. If you don't have insurance, they can and will still treat you. Its most important to get to the ER now before something worsens. Good luck and hope you feel better.

Well you don't really have too many choices. You either need to go to Urgent Care or the Emergency Room. You'll have to set up a payment plan or payment assistance if that is available at your local hospital. Good luck.

I'm confused, do you not have insurance? That would be the only reason an x-ray would cost that much. Are you looking for a low cost medical help?

I think you need to just go to the Urgent Care & deal with the bill later/make a payment plan, if you're still without(?) insurance. You will incur an even higher bill at the ER. Can you tolerate the pain until Monday, is the question. You are still going to have to pay a medical bill for the doctor's office. If not, then get to an Urgent Care.

None of us are doctors, though. If you're in excruciating pain, you need to seed medical attention, NOW! Why are you asking for permission?!

Go to the ER Now! You could have any number of life threatening conditions including; gall bladder or apendicitis/ ruptured appendicts, bowel obstruction, ectopic pregnancy, infection etc...

I hope that you feel better - Alot of hospitals have funds for people without insurance and financial difficulties - as about it.

Why don't you get you and your family on state insurance?

PS: You can eat with that pain??? - If so, don't eat before going to the ER - they may have to perform treatment that requires that you don't eat or drink anything for a certain number of hours - eating can complicate procedures

Since the pain has stopped I would wait and see. Make an appointment with your doctor for another day to discuss it, and if it comes back again before then as bad as it was, go to your local emergency room right away.
Hopefully it's just gas!
Not trying to make light of your pain but I have had a few instances of seriously painful gas that took hours to pass. Not pleasant :(

I was thinking kidney stones as well. Anyways, YES, go to the ER. At the very least they can give you some pain medications.

Please go to the ER now.

You can ask for a payment plan. They can bill you.

You never know what it could be .
If it's an apendicitis (sp?), it could be deadly.

Better safe than sorry. Please let us know what happened. Best wishes.

But it stopped? Just trying to figure out why you need to seek medical attention in the first place. There are a whole lot of things that would cause those symptoms none of which are life threatening or even need doctor's care.

Severe pain is your body telling you that something is wrong. I would go to the ER. Dont ever feel like you have to suffer. It could be nothing, but the chance that it could be serious is not one i would take :(
