Kraft has an amazing site for easy and quick recipes. You can also try Rachel Ray's recipes. Some of them are very involved, but she has some easier ones too. I'm not a very creative cook and I rely heavily on recipes. I can follow any recipe and make a fab dinner, but can't pull anything out of my own brain. You don't have to be creative to be a good cook! It also seems that once you start cooking from recipes you can start to piece your own things together.

Campell's also has a good website. Most food manufacturers have a website with a few recipes.

Crock Pots are AMAZING for busy moms. Just Google "Crock Pot Recipes"

OH...Kraft has a 5 nights 1 bag section on their website. All of the recipes are easy and fast.

Happy cooking!

I think this recipe came from All Recipes and is titled Cajun Chicken Pasta if you want to look up the real recipe. I made it one day, but without a lot of the ingredients because I didn't have any and it was really good...my husband and one of my kids liked it (my other doesn't care for pasta)

Slice up a boneless skinless chicken breast. Season with Cajun seasoning and saute in skillet in some butter. After it is cooked, add about a half a can to a can of evaporated milk. Cook until heated through. Add Parmesan cheese and stir. Then add your cooked spaghetti noodles. Let it sit for a minute or two until the sauce thickens up. Serve with a side of salad.

Try www.allrecipes.com. There is a category for quick and easy. I use this site for my meals at least 3 times a week.

Also try www.supercook.com - this site has you type in ingredients you have at home and will spit out recipes that you can make with what you have. Also, a lifesaver.

Crockpot!!!!!! We are always on the go and it is the easiest and tastiest way to cook on the fly. The allrecipes site has recipes for crockpot cooking. I will give you what I've found works best......
1. Chili-super easy and you can make it how you prefer; ground meat, sausage, beans, etc. Or there's also some great white chicken chili recipes.
2. I put a beef roast in the crockpot completely frozen. I add cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. I will sometimes add carrots, potatoes, celery if I am at home about 2 hours before dinner. Otherwise, it's fine without. You can eat the roast like that, or I will also add BBQ sauce to it, and have pulled beef sandwiches. YUM!
3. I just did a pork loin in the crockpot last weekend and it was so juicy and good. Again, completely frozen and added some apples, cider and onions. I topped the meat with a little brown sugar and served with quinoa.

Another thing we do at home is to have a breakfast dinner. I will cook eggs, pancakes and turkey bacon. It's usually pretty fast and healthy.

Hope some of this helps. Good luck and happy eating!!!

Homemade Lasagna

Pre-heat oven to 375
Brown 1.5-2lbs lean ground turkey in skillet
Add 1 jar favorite red sauce(I like Classico tomato basil)

Mix 16oz skim ricotta with 1 bag of fresh baby spinach and 1/2 cup skim milk mozzarella (shredded) (you can sneak other vegetables in too like mushrooms, shredded carrots

In a 9x13 pyrex dish, layer oven ready whole grain lasagna noodles, then layer cheese mixture, then meat mixture, repeat and top with 2 cups of skim mozzarella (shredded)

Bake, serve with green salad

Winter Stew

In large slow cooker, combine-
1 pork shoulder or eye of round beef
2 peeled, sliced sweet potatoes
2 peeled, slice turnips
4 skin on, chopped red potatoes
1 cup of chicken stock
3 cans of Hunts stewed tomatoes
1 bag of dried apricots
liberal dashes of cinnamon, cumin, and cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste
Cook for at least 6 hrs total
When meat is almost done, removed and chop up, add back and simmer for another hour
Serve with bread

These are both my recipes, invented by me, healthy, easy, and household favorites!
