I'm looking for healthy, delicious yet festive Halloween dinner ideas that can incorporate the spirit and fun of Halloween into the meal but still be pretty quick and easy so we can get the kids' fed, dressed and out trick or treating. Ideas?

I've seen hot dog and spaghetti spiders. Stick the uncooked spaghetti into the hot dogs and then boil them both. Probably can't get much easier than that. http://blogs.babble.com/family-kitchen/2010/10/20/hot-dog... Probably not the healthiest thing, but definitely festive.

I've always been a fan of sloppy joes or tacos. I don't have any fun theme names for them or special ideas for decorating them, but they are festive and easy, and the meat filling for either stays warm for hours in a crock pot, so you don't have to baby sit it or worry about it getting over cooked if you're entertaining or trick or treating. You can eat later, or sooner. Very flexible.

crockpotgirls just did a dish where you quarter hotdogs lenghwise to look like worms added sliced onions & sliced green peppers (both are optional) a can of manwich/sloppy joe sauce then served it over hamburger buns. Cockpotgirls.com. I'm doing teriyaki wings & hot wings will serve them as a bucket of bones; bloody toes hillshire lil smokies w/bbq sauce & Kraft chili sauce (not very spicy at all) familyfun.com has salty bones pillsbury rolls shaped into bones...crockpot girls also did a cheese dip that they colored green to make it look like a slimy green. I was in my grocery store tonight & found orange & black tortilla chips. I'm going to make a punch w/a frozen hand in the middle (take a clean kitchen glove fill it w/a colored juice red or add a little food color make it black depending on what color your actual drink is so that it stands out fill the glove & let it freeze then when you're ready to serve peel the glove & place the hand in your punch bowl. Have fun!

Spinach or tomato spaghetti and turkey sausage links can easily be brains and intestines. Throw in sauce and you have blood!

I just saw Kraft macaroni and cheese with halloween pasta! and it is orange! This might be a good idea paired with sloppy joes or bar b que (that could cook all day in a crockpot) Serve Carrots and strips of yellow and orange bell peppers on the side.
