Haircut for Baby?

Hi,
My son's hair is growing too long, and we want to get it cut. My husband doesn't think we should do it ourselves, and I don't know how to approach him with scissors in the facial area, so does anybody out there have any good ideas either how to cut a baby's hair, or better, where to go to get it done (and relatively cheaply) on the Northeast side of town?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I do not know exactly where you are but I would go to somewhere that specializes in cutting kids hair. They are great with the kids. They give them a special chair and put a movie on for them. They will even videotape it for you and give you an envelope with their first locks. If you are near Old Orchard "Simon Says" is in Macys. There is also "snippets" and I think the other place is "Kidcuts" (or something like that). There is almost a kids salon in every mall now. But that is what I would recommend.

My husband put in a video that our 2-YO son hasn't seen in while, which caused the boy to freeze in his tracks and sit down. Then, hubby was able to take his time with a scissors. Or, try an electric clipper.

We took my son for his first cut at Kid Snips. They did a great job and we even got a certificate, picture, and lock of hair!!

I cut my little ones hair while he sleeps. My husband holds him and I do the cutting.
