Hi smart moms! I am looking to get digital picture frames for a couple of people - I see they range from $30 to over $100 - I am not sure what the benefit of those very pricey ones are? I'd like to get something more like $50 - can you recommend anything? What stores do you think are best to get them?
Thanks!!!

We just got one at Target for $50. I cannot attest to the quality because it will be a gift so it has not been used. But, the only difference I noted was the smaller screen (7" versus 8" I believe). Any of them will do the job, just depends on the clarity and picture size you want! Good luck!

I had one that you can find at Walmart for $49. Its a Phillips 7" LCD with a real wood frame. It has the calendar plus some preloaded pictures or you can insert a sd card and you can set it to either one picture or have it do a slide show thru the pictures. I didnt use it like I thought I would but to me for a digital frame it is well made for the price.

The cheapest ones will only do pictures. Some may only have built in memory. Most will have a memory card or USB slot for accessing pictures. Mid priced may have more viewing options ( in order of folders, or random functions). They may also have capacity for videos or music files. Higher priced will offer larger size, fancier frames, better picture quality, wired or wireless (wi-fi) connections for constant updating. A few have phone line connection to update a relative's picture frame by phone to & from anywhere.
Hope this info helps.

I bought two HP 7" ones from Target as gifts and they were $69.00. I have an HP computer and printer so I felt confident getting the HP digital frames. They support many different memory cards and have a remote.
