My son is going to be 3 in a couple weeks. When he turns 3 he'll be moving up to a new classroom at daycare. I LOVE his daycare teacher, she is fantastic! I wanted to get a little something for her when he officially moves up. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

I'm interested in getting my daughters daycare provider a gift too and am curious to see the responses. I was looking at getting something for the garden since she has been essential in helping my daughter to grow.

Depending on how well you know the provider, gift cards are great. If she reads a lot, get her one for the local book store. If she is really into music, an iTunes card is an option. If you know where she gets her hair done, get her a gift card from there. If she has a family to feed, a gift card to her usual grocery store might be nice. One of my favorite presents was a Starbuck's gift card, cause it isn't a place I normally go, but with the card I was able to treat myself to something special when I was out.

I am a daycare provider and I have to say the best gifts I've gotten are cards that have a personal note written of how much my care has been appreciated. I also love gift cards for a place like Beauty Brands.

One of the cutest things I ever saw was a gift done for one of my son's teachers. They bought a plant and asked the nursery for several of the picks that hold the to/from cards. Then each student bought a $5 gift card to a different place - Starbucks, Target, craft store, Chik Fil A, etc. and put the gift cards on the picks. The teacher LOVED it!!! So I would either go in with other parents (if the whole class is moving on) or just do 1+ gift cards (however much you want to spend). The plant is a gift that she will keep and see each day to remind her of your daughter but the gift card(s) is a fun treat for her!

Gift cards for bookstores, or for a massage at a local spa.

My son is also moving from daycare to preschool and we are doing a heartfelt "thank you" from us, picture from him, gift card to buy lunch from a local restaurant for the staff and a gift certificate for mani for the teacher.
