My husband is AMAZING!! He truly is a great husband, and an even better father! He spends all of his free time with our kids! He does most of the cooking, and always helps with things around the house. Most impotantly, he has a great relationship with the kids. They love him so much and miss him everyday while he is at work. When daddy comes home the kids flock to him and are by his side the rest of the day! My question is what to buy him for his birthdat! It is is 40th, and I wan't something great to show him how wonderful I truly think he is. Any ideas? Thank you!

i just wanted to say that is great that your husband is such a great husband and father. My husband is in the same boat as yours- and I am truly blessed to find someone like him. My gift idea is a book. We did it for my cousin recently who is also a father- his wife sent emails to all his friends and family for them to write a letter to your husband and include photos if you have them. All the letters and pictures were put in a binder in protective sheets and that was his gift. The binder was huge and it brought tears to his eyes to see how appreciated his friends and his family was. It was a secret-so make sure no one tells him about it. It was great- when my husband turns 40, I would love to do it for him.

Not sure what your planning on spending but I just got a digital photo frame from my husband. I love it. I keep it at work and I'm able to watch pictures of the kids and the rest of our family scrolling by all day. Most of them include not only pictures but video too. You could do a short video from you and the kids to your husband.

Is he a sports fan? Make arrangements for a limo to pick him up (and the family or his guy friends) and take him to his favorite sporting event, complete with tickets in the best location in the house.

I love and appreciate my husband also and wanted to do something extra special for his 40th last week. I took him away for a romantic weekend to St Louis to watch the Cubs vs Cardinals I got extra special seats and took him to dinner and to the Arch which he had never done. It was a wonderful and memorable weekend.

Maybe a surprise party at your house? Or a surprise night out/sporting event/weekend with his friends? Or a weekend away or night away for the two of you? The binder idea is a really neat one.
