When you eat out at Christmas, do you give a bigger tip to your waiter or waitress for the hoiday season?
Hubby and I eat breakfast out at a local restaurant and we give an envelope to several waitress/waiters for the holiday season. The waitress that waits the table is usually one of our regular waitresses and also gets the usual table tip.
Your thoughts since it is the holidays.

We do. Maybe 30-40% of the bill. More so than eating out, I try to take care of hair stylists, postal carriers and everyone else! I gave a $25 tip for a haircut last night!
I usually tip 20% on a regular day. At Christmas I've been known to round up. Example. we went to Red Lobster to use some gift cards. The bill was $95. I had $125 in gift cards. I left the remainder as her tip.
Yes - I tip everyone extra during the holidays that I normally wouldn't tip or wouldn't give as much as I do.
I tip my hairdresser extra
I give the landscaper a tip
I tip the postman.
I tip delivery people.
I tip my barista at Starbucks.
My husband thinks I am nuts.

Yes I do. I am more generous with everyone, which hurts because I usally overtip anyway! Once you've lived on tips, you take a little differant view of tipping.

If we get GREAT service, we tip really well. If it's just good service we tip 20%, if it's poor service we tip 10-15 if that. If I had a "regular" waitress like in your situation I would definitely give a card w/a gift card or money in it and a note of appreciation. I love giving to hard working people!

We went out to breakfast on Sunday and had our regular waitress; we did just as you did, and left an extra large tip for the holiday season.
I did the same for my hair stylist on Friday. Sometimes I get her a gift, but this time I gave her $50.
I was a waitress/bartender all through college, and I certainly appreciated it when my regular customers took care of me during the holidays. Now I try to do the same to those who consistently provide good service to me.
