Unless they changed it recently, then you can claim preschool tuition as childcare if you are working for a dependent spending account but check with your plan first. I have heard some exclude it. In some states, you can also take a credit for Kindergarten tuition, Illinois included. Check out the IRS and Illinois dept of Revenue websites.

Do you mean for taxes? No. You can find answers to your tax questions on the IRS Internet site. There is a section listing what qualifies as dependent care. IF the preschool is providing care while you work then it's considered childcare and would be eligible as a dependent care expense.
