Hello everyone. Please tell me what convertible carseat you like and why. I have a fast growing boy and didn't think he would grow out of his infant seat so fast. He is 3 1/2 months old and twenty pounds. He is ready. Quite frankly I have a Britax for my car but I need two more. One for my husband and one for my babysitter. Help!

What can I do next?

I love recaro convertible carseats. They are very safe. My daughter is 2 1/2 and still finds it comfortable , and sleeps in it on long car rides. The child can stay rear facing until 30lbs. which is safer too. The downside is they are expensive. Good luck!

I love my Britax. It was expensive but it is the safest thing out there and my son is big (2 years old and about 35 pounds and 36 inches). I liked that my carseat went to 65 pounds. If you do not have the babysitter driving your son around alot, you might want to get a more affordable one for him but again, for me investing in the safest car seat was worth the price. good luck.

I like my Britax Marathon. I liked that you can use it for so long and that it can be rear-facing for longer than many convertible car seats. My daughter seems really comfortable in it. Actually, we switched to it at 4 months, because she hated reclining in her infant seat. She would cry for the entire car trip and try to strain her head so she could see out the window. When we switched to the Britax, she stopped crying. Turns out she just wanted to be more upright to see the world. There is also enough padding around it to make it comfortable for her when she is sleeping. The only down side is that it is so big, but it does still fit in our little Honda FIT.

Check out the Evenflo Triumph. It has a knob that you can use to adjust the straps so they fit well. The cup holder is a bit flimsy though. You can also check out the Graco My Ride 65, beautiful carseat with 2 solid cup holders. Both car seats rated very well for safety so the choice is probably made by features. Great price on both of them as well.
