I have been wearing CibaSoft contacts for YEARS. (The ones that last a year--NOT the disposables)There was some question today when I tied to order them after my eye exam as to whether or not they are still available--the store will be able to call & find out on Tuesday. BUT thought I'd ask--has anyone ordered these lately?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Mamaof3 M -- it always used to be like that for me too...but the more I look at websites--they have been discontinued! :(

It's confirmed--no longer available!

I wear specialty contact lenses (not CibaSoft) with a strong prescription. Mine is a planned replacement lens every 3 months. I have been wearing these lenses for 20+ years. Not every distributor has them so I go to a well known eye clinic in our area and see a contact lens specialist. This specialist tells me that the contact lens industry has gone through a dramatic overhaul in the last 18 months by discontinuing long time lens and streamlining their product line. My guy tells me to expect more changes in the near future. I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for but I thought I would mention it.

In case you can't find your old standby lens, you might want to go to someone who is extremely familiar with all types of lens rather than a mass distributor.

Good luck!

I get mine from walmart. I have been wearing cibasoft for 12 months for over 10 years. I love them! Way cheaper than any other contact. They order them and i get them within a week. HTH

have you checked lens.com or 1800contacts.com
i've find a product line on there that was said to be discontinued and while it was, that which they had left, I was able to buy at a discount..

best of luck

I have been wearing the Ciba Vision D3 soft contact, also the ones that last a year - not disposable - for years as well and I have been informed after waiting for over 3 months (since the beginning of March) that they are discontinued. I am currently trying to decide what contact to go into next. My eye doctor wants me to start wearing disposables but they are more expensive. At this time I have not decided what to do.
