I will be on a long flight to hot weather with 4 month old. I feel my Bjorn is too hot for beach etc. Any better ideas of a front carrier?
Bjorn is by far your coolest option since its the only one that does not have direct skin to skin and allows the limbs to dangle. I live in a warm climate with a new born and I'm here to tell you the Ergo is not going to be your coolest option.
Look into those scarf type side carriers with the rings.
Ergo? I live in a hot climate abroad. The ergo is light and roomy and has a thing you can pull over the head for shade? I just do not know the minimum weight...so that needs to be checked.

I always liked a basic unpadded ring sling. Not too hot and so versatile. It can get pretty hot here in the summer and I always did the best with the simple ring sling. There are ring slings that can be bought in a lightweight material designed to use while swimming that are really great too if you're looking to take it to the beach.

I preferred the fabric wrap-type carriers here in AZ. Many of them come in a light-weight fabric that breathes well.
