Car Seat Woes

My second one would do this too...try these things both worked well for us. one put one of those vision mirror things up but prop it so he can see himself too. And then get him some car toys. it could be too that he doesnt like the light in h is eyes. the baby carseats came pretty covered. this is what i did for my lil'er one...They have these stroller sun shades at BBsRus they are like six or so dollars. get some velcro with the sticky stuff on it and stick it to the top of the carseat so you can put it down on super bright days. I have found that those window covers dont do anything to block the sun.Good lick and i hope drving gets easier.

I would recommend getting some toys that stay in the car, that he can play with. We got a window screen with the suction cup at the bottom for my son, as soon as he could reach it he was pulling it completely off the window. Now we have a darkened window cling (it came as a two pack at Target). It looks like tinting, and you can pull it off and "restick" it as needed. We had one on my son's window until he kept playing with it and lost the privilege of having it. Now the only one up is my daughter's, and it works great.

You might also check to make sure that his straps aren't too tight.

My daughter was the same way. Then we started to notice that she really didn't sit in it right. She would always slouch, or slide down no matter how tight the belt was. We ended up buying another carseat that was built differently. And she loves her carseat now. I had a Graco and ended up getting a Britax.

I agree with the previous posters about sunshades, mirros and toys.
However he may well be car sick, in that case this may get better once he is old enough to face forward.
Can you cut down on your driving with him (maybe Dad can watch him when you go shopping?) or take public transit (so he can be in a baby carrier or stroller)?
