Hello moms! So I had my 2nd baby Sept. 6th, my first boy is almost 6. This is kind of just a vent. I just can't seem to get my butt back in gear since the baby was born. I feel like my body HATES me and is falling apart!! First when I had him my right leg went numb, and lasted for about 2 months (still not 100%). Once that was somewhat better, I finally got into running to help me loose this darn baby weight I was doing so good for about a week or two, getting really into it THEN I broke my toe :( that lasted a while, once that was healed enough for me to start running again I did and I was getting back into it again then I got super sick, got on meds got better FOR A WEEK AND A HALF! Then got sick again with an ear infection which has now turned into my ear being plugged and not able to drain, NOW they say my tonsil is enlarged getting a CT Scan tomorrow, and my have to get my tonils out and tube put in my ear (because all this time I can not hear out of my left ear!!!). SIGH....I think thats it. I mean before my baby boy was born I was NEVER sick never broken a bone NEVER even in the hospital!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING!? All I want to do is get healthy and loose this stupid weight!!!! But I feel like I can not catch a break!! Anyone else having the same feeling??

If anyone says it because your getting older and things start falling apart I will slap!!!! LOL!! ;0)

Thanks for listening.

What can I do next?

give your self some slack hun. It's winter/spring .
people get sick in the winter.
And , going into summer and fall I'll bet you'll be doing just fine
The baby weight will wait. And most women dont' loose it for a while so relax.

The 2nd baby is a doozey . . . mine is almost 16 (years) and I'm still trying to lose the weight. :P

To me it sounds like you're moving too fast. I would focus on my food first - healthy, clean eating. Food as close to nature as it comes. No processed foods or sugars.

Then I would work on any nutritional deficiencies and supplement (may need an alternative health care professional).

Then I would start with walking 5-6 days a week, maybe 30 mins to start (assuming this is OK with a health care professional).

You have to walk before you can run. Your body is trying to tell you something.

I'm sorry this is happening to you! I am familiar with "when it rains it pours" :) I agree completely with Angela S. But I did want to add that I have used Leslie Sansone's walk at home work out DVD's and they reallly help! She has a lot of them to choose from so I'm sure you could find one or more that may work for you to get you started. They have really helped me. I am also trying to lose my baby weight (my son is 4!!!) Her system is so flexible, you can do a little or alot, you get out what you put in. She has a wonderful spirit about her and I always feel better after walking with her.

HTH! Good luck and feel better soon!!

Yikes ! I can see why you are feeling that way. After my second one, my weight was never quite the same. So, I walk alot. I try to eat organically grown produce and healthy salads alot. With that being said, I got ear infections, allergies, weight gain and so much more ! I was sooooo healthy after my 1st pregnancy, too. I completely understand.
I have to eat less food, eat clean food, walk alot and not concentrate on the negatives. If I smile alot, drink water when I want to snack, go to bed and sleep well, then, I do okay ! Every 7 years my body has changed !
Try not to be h*** o* yourself emotionally. I find that I am my own worst critic. I just found out I have a kidney stone after 2 months of pain. Now, I barely excercise because it hurts. So, I am looking at this as positively as I can.
When it rains, it pours ! Write down a list of all the things you are blessed with.

Sorry for all the issues/complications!! If you can't work out, just cut your calories and sugar/etc. Add in weights a few times a week and you should still drop pounds even if you aren't doing a ton of cardio.

wow, you've got a lot on your plate. Someone mentioned organics and another mentioned sugars. What are you eating? It is true you should eliminate all sugars from your diet. Sugar is a depressant, it weakens your immune system an helps you gain weight. Dairy clogs you up, gives you infections and isn't meant for grown people as it's a source of growth. (just like you feed your baby your milk to grow, cows feed their milk to their babies to become 2000 pound cows)
Eat fresh veggies and light fruits, whole grains, beans and other clean simple food and you will clear out toxins, lose weight and feel better. Don't forget some water too.

My son was born last October and it has become a standing joke between my husband and I. He kids me, saying this is a preview of our golden years. I spent three and half months sick. I can't seem to get healthy and stay healthy. One illness after another - colds, stomach bugs, bronchitis, laryngitis, on and on and on. I could count on one hand the number of days in that time frame I felt decent. Not good, decent/maybe human at a stretch. I have never missed so much work in my life and I have never been so sickly in general. It has been truly awful. I finally went to my regular doctor and demanded he give me the full work over. I told him to treat me like a pin cushion and let's get to the bottom of this madness. Every test came back normal which is a good thing. My doctor said it was a combination of several factors - I did just have a baby (a few months post-partum is not that long; it takes nine months to have a baby and at least that long to think about being at your new normal which may not be your old normal); I am stressed whether I realize it or not as I have two small children; I work full time; I am nursing, etc. He recommended keeping a positive attitude, eating well and not stressing any further. I don't have any advice but trust me you are not suffering alone. This is so different than with my first but such is life. Good luck and may the warmer weather cure of us of all our ailments.
