God has blessed me with the greatest best friend in the world. Her birthday is Monday ( I know...short notice) and I would like to do something extra special for her to show her how much I appreciate and love her. She helps me out a ton with my kids (whom she is god-mother to) and bends over backward for me. She loves my kids like they were her own and I'd like them to be somewhat involved with her gift. I don't have a lot of money to spend, or a whole lot of time to put into it. ANd, I'm not the most creative person to walk this earth. I will happily and gratefully be open to any and all suggestions. Thanks so much for your time and suggestions!!!

What can I do next?

My friend's b-day is next week and she is my little one's gm. We work in beige offices in cubicles (borrrriiiiiiinnng) I am going to buy a small clay pot and paint my daughter's hands a pretty color-or maybe rainbow. Then have her put her hands on the pot so her handprints are on it. And some kind of saying, not sure what exactly. I am going to the store tomorrow and will get some Gerbera daisies to plant in it. It should last quite a while and give her some color. Plus she can grow what ever she want later or just keep the pot for decoration.

My godmother is my aunt, and she's been there for me in times my parents were not, so I totally understand your relationship :) I know you said you don't have a lot of money (me neither) but I'm saving up to surprise my godmother with a necklace that I found online... you choose from gold or sterling silver, and it's got yours and her fingerprint on either side of the pendant. I WANT THIS for myself as well, but I'd rather splurge and buy it for her!!

You could also put together a photo album of fun times the two of you had together, or make a collage for her wall :)

Take her out to lunch and give her a card that tells her how much she means to you!

Go to a craft store and buy cheap, plain wooden frames and paint. Let your kids decorate the frames to their liking then take a photo of your kids (how many do you have?). If you have 3 kids per se, take a photo of one (maybe cuter too if they were covered in paint from their project) holding a sign that says "we", another one holding a sign that says, "love" and the last one holding a sign that says, "you". Totally personal and it involves your kids too.
