Best Recommendation for Photo Printing/photo Gift Website for Christmas????

It's that time of year again, and I'm looking to get myself in to gear, and make a calender with photos, canvas, photo christmas cards and maybe a photo book for family using our family photos. I've never done this before because I never seemed to get myself started in time, and am not totally computer/photo literate. I have an Apple Macbook and want to try and start.
Which website/store is easy, fast and has a good price to compose these items?? Snapfish, Shutterfly, Kodak, or somewhere else. We belong to Costco so I could go down that road too.
Thanks for your help!

I've used Winkflash & Shutterfly. I get my Christmas cards from Winkflash every year & if you watch, you can get them really cheap this time of year. I've also gotten a book from Shutterfly-very good quality. The only time I had a problem was when I didn't get some pics from Winkflash. When I called, they sent out a new set-no questions asked. They are both very easy to use.

I am a fellow Apple owner as well and make photo books and calendars every year for my family. I have tried on Shutterfly and Kodak but I have to say the best quality was buying through my Apple computer. The price is more, but you do get what you pay for. The photobook process on your Apple is so great and simple, I love it! In the process of making some books now.

As for Holiday cards...I always use Tiny Prints, great quality and there is a card for every price range. Another perk, they do greeting cards now...I love these, they are a great way to personalize a birthday or special holiday for those loved ones out of town. www.tinyprints.com

i make a photo calendar every year and have really liked walmart's photo shop. it seems to be much cheaper than most and gives you the option of mailing it directly to you (you pay shipping) or site to store and you pick up for free:) you may also want to get on a few websites, try to navigate and see what works best for you. good luck i'm sure your picture gifts will be great:)

I do almost everything on my Apple Macbook pro! You can make beautiful picture books, cards and calendars. That would be my first choice, but that's just me.
Good luck,

Shutterfly is great! It is where we get all of our prints, etc from them. It also lets us keep an extra copy of all our pictures at full size for a backup. They have frequent sales and free shipping. I think photo books and cards are on sale now. We have done cards through them that came out great. Also calendars for gifts, several photo books, and by now I'm sure about 10,000 prints with no issues. One of our pictures was also enlarged to either 14x20 or 20x24 and it came out great. They will let you know what size a picture will print best to. The calendars and photo books have many layout choices and backgrounds to choose from so you can design your own. They also now have simple path that will put the photo book together for you from the pictures you choose and you can always change it.

Uploading to their site is easy and everything is really one step at a time to help you out. If you have questions their customer service reps are great too.

Have fun creating!

Hi, I am with you. I want something easy but nice quality. Every year I go to Jewel/Osco, Target even Walgreens. They have a machine where you can scan photos, create cards , calendars, mugs etc. There is a person there to help you too. I have a computer and printer at home but I can get 100 cards printed in no time at the store and whats nice is that you an print just one card to see if you like it first and change it right there if you need to. The prices are very reasonable too, check for in store coupons for better deals.

Mixbook.com is phenomenal. Books can be done in a huge variety of sizes, and in soft cover or hard cover. Amazing variety of templates, "stickers", can upload your own clipart for stickers, get the album printed and/or view online. You can also order it later, or, copy the album and make a new one from it with modifications (ie. 2 sides of the family and you want to customize a kids' album for them). They frequently run discounts too.

I've used Snapfish and Shutterfly, which sometimes have coupons and special deals. I've found that Walmart.com (and presumably Costco) have similar products for a cheaper price in general. You'll be glad you did it, in any case!

I always use shutterfly. Although I know people who love snapfish. Shutterfly just happens to be the one I used first. I do photo book gifts on there all the time and I always do my Christmas card. I just put my card together on line and then ordered the card - they were delivered in 2 days.

Merry Christmas
