I LOVE my bissel Pro Heat! It only takes about 2X the time to vaccuum, and it works wonders. It scrubs up ground it pet hair and dirt that even my dyson doesn't pick up.

I've had 1 Hoover and I'm currently using my 2nd Bissell. My newest Bissell is the Bissell Pro Heat and I love it.

I clean our carpets regularly and have had no issues with this machine. I use the Hoover pet shampoo from home depot ($25). It's worth it.

PS: I had no issues with the Hoover. I like the Pro Heat feature of the Bissell and that is why I went that route.

I've had both a Bissel and a Hoover. I liked both, but the Hoover definitely had more sucking power, which means it leaves your carpet dryer than the Bissel. The one thing I didn't like about the Hoover is that it was a bit more complicated to fill and empty, but I still think I'd go with the Hoover.

I did a lot of research on carpet cleaners becuase of the size of our home, I wanted something that would handle lots of areas with carpet. We went with The Bissel Pro Heat and we Love it. Its very simple to use, its just heavy trying to take it up and down stairs but other than that, it really work and I think its worth the money.
