I think that the little Tooth Fairy Holders that are made of sterling silver make an ideal baptism or christening gift. They are little holders for the little ones to put their teeth in under their pillow so the Tooth Fairy will know where the tooth is and can come and collect it. They can be found at Macy's or other department stores (typically in the china/giftware section) or in china shops I think.

Good luck.

I don't know how close you are to this baby boy, or what your gift budget is, but if you'd like to go with something more lasting, I can recommend some unique, handcrafted plaques that are part of the line of gifts I sell. There are a couple that would be perfect for this milestone occasion and would be meaningful and inspiring for many years to come, as well. You can view a variety of gifts on my site, www.barefootparties.com/laurarenton. Click on shop, then catalog. Baby/children's gifts are on pages 6 & 7. I have many of the items in my inventory if you need something quickly. Happy to help if I can. L.

P.S. - Sorry if you received this reply twice. My internet service went out as I was sending it the first time. It didn't show up in the public advice, so I thought I'd try it again.

I just had my son's baptism about a month ago and I received a lot of money...we took the money and opened a savings account; when my son turns one in November, we're putting it into a 529 for his college.

Money can never go wrong!
