I'm not sure how it is in TX but some areas allow your child to participate in extracurricular activities at the local school. You can also look into private lessons and see if they have recommendations. Good luck!

Do you have any connections with other local homeschoolers in your area? When we moved to southern Cali and started homeschooling, we found a homeschooling group in our area, which really helped a lot in asking them questions about what activities/opportunities are available locally for homeschoolers. Plus it's also a great way to connect with other homeschoolers and find new friends. Good luck!

Contact the band director at the local high school, she may be able to participate in some of their programs or he/she can let you know of any other programs that may be in your area.

You can check with town hall to see if they have an "arts council".

I would also make inquires at a local music store to see if they know of any community bands or orchastras.

I don't know about your church affiliation, but a lot of large churches now have a band or orchestra that plays during the service.

We have a community band and a regional orchestra in our area. Check with the local high schools and colleges to see if she might be able to participate.

Check with the high school.
In VA and NC the homeschool children can participate in extra curriculuar activities, this means band, orchestra, gym class, art, sports. She would have to pay the fees but TX law should allow her to continue with the band if she wants.

In our area we do have a homeschool band, but I live in VA.
Ask other homeschooling families in your area.
Ask at church or the Christian schools.

Good luck, mine just started this year in a homeschool band and love it.
