I am looking for a local farmers market where I can buy fresh produce and possibly fresh flowers. Anyone know of any good farmers markets in the Tampa area? I tried the Ybor one but it seemed to have more arts/crafts than produce. Thank you!

What can I do next?

Don't bother with the one on Gunn at Casey. I live near there and have been there. It is very small and poorly stocked.

In season, try the Bearss Groves. It is on Bearss a little east of Jimmy B. Keel Regional Library (about half way between North Dale Mabry and Florida Ave). You can't miss the orchard on the south side of the road. They usually have fruits and vegetables and when citrus fruit is in season it is a pretty good place to go.

The Saturday morning market in St. Pete is really nice. Also a great place to stroll around w/ the kids.

Really great ones in Plant City.
Closer, but still great is the one on Branch Forbes road right off I-4.
Even closer, but a little busy and I would not bring the boy with you (I was almost ran over by a car while in the parking lot, it was actually going backwards right on top of me luckily I am tall enough to keep up and was able to signal the driver, but this is common there) is the one on Hillsborough Avenue, near Middleton High school. Its a little West of the Ross and Albertsons.

You need to leave Tampa to find a good market. The one on Branch Forbes Road, Plant City is a pretty good one most of the time.

Yes, the Fresh Market in Brandon. Another post below on Bloomingdale and Providence Road. It's next to Winthrop Publix.

Have you tried the one on Bloomingdale & Providence in Brandon. Seems like every Saturday it gets bigger & bigger. Its in the parking lot by Publix & Moe's.

There is one on the corner of Gunn Hwy & Casey Rd. in Citrus Park. I haven't been there, but when my mom lived on this side of town, she went there.

There is a Farmers Market on E. Hillsborough Ave. Past 22nd Street. I believe it is open on Saturdays. I am not sure about the flowers.
