If you are breastfeeding the baby, it might not start until the baby is weaned. I got about 2 years "off" each time. Yes, really. (yay)

Yep....it was probably 3 or 4 months before mine came back. I was still breastfeeding and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I was just happy to be able to enjoy life without my monthly visitor!

Absolutely. Completely normal, especially if you're breastfeeding. It can be 6 months or more.

Are you breastfeeding? I did and mine did not return until a week before his first birthday.

If you are breast feeding your period might take awhile to come back.
It's still possible to get pregnant.
Enjoy not dealing with it for awhile!

I was without mine for about two years after. That added up to about three years of FREEDOM!!!!

It's different for different people. Some people never lose it.

Was just at my 6 week PP check... Doc said, 4 months is average for return of period, if breastfeeding.

I think it was a good 5 months after my last two kids were born - I was exclusively breast feeding my boys...

I wouldn't stress over it. If you are having sex - make sure it is still protected sex if you don't want another baby really quick! :)

With all my kids it took at least a year. But I breasted for 15, 18, then 26 months. With my last one I didn't get regular periods gain until he was 3. I think of it as a perk, lol.

I nursed both of my kids. With my daughter my period came back at 15 months when she stopped nursing. With my son, he was over three when it came back. And it was very different than it was before I had my kids (in a good way).

With my first born, I had my normal recovery bleeding for about 4 weeks and then nothing for 3 weeks. Then t 7 weeks I had my first period.

With my second, I have yet to have one, and she is almost 5 months old.

You are totally normal!!! :)

I did not have a period for over a year with both of my children. I nursed both of them so I know that had a lot to do with it.

Mine returned around seven months after I gave birth. Just remember, you can still get pregnant even if you're period is absent. :-)

Like the other mothers said... Several months is "normal". I somehow got jipped out of the extended vacation most nursing moms get to enjoy, when mine returned after only two months. :(

You will want to stock up on panty liners if you prefer Tampons... The brand I used before pregnancy is USELESS for me now... Even the super absorbent ones. It took me several periods to find the best brand for my remodeled "downstairs"... (Playtex Sport are the only brand that I can use now, and even they leak a bit.)

It took 18 months after my first (I breastfed until he was two). My second is 11 months old now (still breastfeeding) and haven't gotten it back yet.
