My DD is going to be a flower girl next month for a friend's daughter. Do you have any good "gift from the flower girl" ideas for me?

What can I do next?

a cute candid picture of the two of them in a cute frame. The picture can be from during the wedding or another time. I had a picture of my daughter (flower girl) & my sister (bride) dancing at the wedding together and it was too funny but adorable.

We aren't in the habit of expecting gifts from kids for weddings, or otherwise, but if you'd like - how about a gift of flowers, a pack of bulbs, or seed to plant in their new home? This is especially nice if they are perennials, or if the child and the bride to be have an ongoing relationship and your kid can see the flowers there down the line.

Best,

The flower girl does not typically give a present, so if you want to do something keep it to a small token. A photo as suggested, or a drawing from your child if she wants to do it.

I'm answering both of your questions.

When my daughter was a flower girl in a wedding we just signed her name to our card when we gave the couple money. They were a close friends and we had the funds so we gave them $200 and I didn't get a shower present. So if I got a shower present we would of given $150. I always give cash, typically $100-$200 depending on our relationship.

I like the idea of a photo. How old is your daughter? Can she write a note to the bride? Or can you ask her what she loves about the bride and maybe make a note with a photo for the bride.

A picture of the flower girl and the bride! If your daughter is artistic, let her draw a picture to do with it.

Does she have toasting flutes or a cake cutter? That would be sweet. Or a girly picture frame that she can put a photo in of them after the wedding.

How about one of those mannequins dressed as a bride or flower girl?

I like the idea of giving her flowers. If it's in the season, maybe you can get her a small potted plant of whatever her "main" flower is.

I always loved the picture I found on Pinterest of the flower girl wearing the bride's shoes. It looks so sweet. Maybe do something similar, and give her a framed copy.

(Of course, "from" your dd...)
