Hi I live in Needham and have tried two salons in Newton both very pricey and not happy for the outcome. Does anyone have a good hairdresser who is good with colour and cuts that is a nice small salon that is more personable that will not break the bank every 6-8 weeks! Thanks

What can I do next?

Hi,
I love my hairdresser, Jillian, at Dellaria Salon in the Natick Mall. She's the best hairdresser I've ever had. It isn't exactly a small, quaint place, but it's ok. Cuts are $40 and highlights start at $70-that's all I know. Also, a great website for activities in the area is whofish.org. Good luck!

Try La Moda Salon in Needham. There small, not over priced and give a great cut and color.

I live in Westwood and have just found a salon that I like. It is called Hair Moodz, it is on Washington St. I go to a woman named Nicole. There are only 3 stylists is the salon. I have been very happy. It is only about 35 or 40 dollars for a cut, wash, blow dry.

I hope this helps

Hi L.,
I live in Franklin but I'm from Needham. My aunt Sonja is excellent with color, cut and is in a small salon. It's called Salon Victoria on Great Plain Ave. The phone number is ###-###-#### and the price is right too;).

My husband lived in London for a year last year and I had the chance to visit him often...I Love London!! Also, Loved Sydney...hope to take my kids back there someday.

I noticed your last inquiry about day care. My children attended The Abbott School(daycare) on Gould Street.

Good luck...feel free to contact me if you need anymore Needham recomendations;)

Hi!

Welcome to Needham. I use Avante Salon on Chapel St and have been happy. They are not that pricey, and I have been very happy with the results. I use Sue Fitzgerald, but all the stylists seem really nice.

Good Luck!

I go to Jesamondo in Natick (off Rt. 135) and use Gretchen. I think a cut/color is about $130. It's not a huge salon, but everyone is pretty friendly and it seems good. I have also had some waxing, mani/pedis there and they have been good.

I am coming up on my first year here too so I can totally sympathize with your dilemma - I have tried many salons, etc. until I found something that was good/convenient. My children are also 2 and 4, but there is a lot to do that is close by and I'm sure you feel a little more settled soon. Hang in there - I cried a lot my first year here!

Sorry I cannot help you because I am not from that area. However considering you are from out of the country I will cut you some slack. But I was going to say you went to salons in Newton thinking they would not be too expensive! Newton is very pricey in every way & the people are very snobbish (rude, look down on those not like them).
However there are many salons that are actually cheap that do a good job although I would not say all of the hair dressers are nice some are some are rude. Just look for signs when you are out & about that say $12 hair cuts or something like that. I used to go to a place that wasn't cheap but wasn't really expensive either about $30 a wash, cut and style. But they are no where near you but look for those types of salons too. Usually you cannot just "walk in" you need an appointment & you won't see signs saying $12 cut. Good luck!
