Hi Ladies,
I'm a mom here in Allen and need a good hair stylist. I just moved here two months ago and my hair is in severe need of a trim. Can someone direct me to the best stylist or hair salon?
Thanks, M.

I have been going to Shanna for years! She is the best stylist I've ever had! She is always going to classes to learn more and be up on the latest trends! People always ask me who does my hair. I also have about 10 other women in my neighborhood who faithfully go to Shanna. You will not be disappointed!

If money is no (or little) object then you should check out the Salon at Eaton Court (http://www.eatoncourt.com/) They have been in Elle Magazine for top 10 salons in the country for hair color. My hair cut usually runs around $75 with tip. Anyone in there would be great.

Welcome to Texas!!! :)

Find your closest Toni & Guy salon and go there. Experience and constant education in hair make this one a win. They have locations worldwide.

We also moved here from SoCal and I have had a really hard time finding a good stylist. I've found awesome healthcare providers, but the hair has been another thing.

The most recent one I have been to is Keith at Cosa Bella in McKinney. It's not Allen, but it is close. He is Tony & Guy trained and really nice, too. The area is sweet. It's just north of the old town square. If you haven't been there yet, go to Spoons for lunch after your cut.

I am not a Toni and Guy fan because they never listened to what I wanted. I have a one step color and my hair is long, straight, super easy trim and that is it. They always wanted to do more and use me as a model to cut my hair.

I do love L'Image at Park and Preston in Plano and Sean David at the Shops of Legacy Plano. BOTH of those places are top notch and the stylists listen. My daughter sees Lauren at L'Image and I see Anna at Sean David

I go to a girl who USED TO be a stylest at Eaton Court. Her name is Julie Falwell and she left Eaton Court to open her own salon in Allen called The Color Bowl. She gives me a great cut for an active lifestyle that allows me to "blow and go". You can book an appointment online at www.thecolorbowl.com or call her at: ###-###-####.

I stopped going to Eaton Court for a few reasons...they're overpriced, a little snooty, but mostly because...I showed up for my appointment one day and they didn't have the courtesy to call me ahead of time to tell me that my regular person left. They just stuck me with a random stylest when I arrived! Then, when I returned a few days later to say I wasn't entirely happy with my cut and needed another trim, they wouldn't honor a quick "do-over".

After having been an Eaton Salon customer for nearly 10 years, I wrote a note to Kathleen (the owner) to express my disappointment and she never responded to me.

And I haven't been back.

COurtney at Galaxy of Salons is Awesome! I've been using her for years and love how she listens and makes my thin hair look full, healthy and stylish.

I'd love to find a good hair salon here in Allen, that is resonable priced. The best hair salon I've found so far is still: Visible Changes at the Collin Creek Mall in Plano. I usually stick to the basic hair cut and basic sryling. Everything else is charged extra!

I highly highly recommend Rosemary Schlesinger at Salon at Eaton Court. Everyone loves her.

Other good stylists at the same place are Tamara and LaFon.

You're gonna get a million responses to this request, I bet! :)

Xavier's Salon is good he's in Allen at Salon Unique behind Stephen's Cleaners/Starbucks off McDermott. It's next to Chick Fil-A. I had a color disaster nightmare with my hair burnt so bad it melted like cotton candy in my hands. He fixed it, repaired it, and made it look fabulous. I would trust his hands on my hair anytime! He's great and he's local for you.

Now I drive to Frisco to a girl named Teri McFarland of Salon M ###-###-####...she is absolutely AWESOME...LOVE her! She is the only person that can cut my hair that I don't need to straighten or curl or style the ends, can just blow dry and go. which is great with two kids! she did great job returning to my original color over my blonde that didn't fade. First person in my 31 years that could cover the blonde with an auburn without it fading. SUBERB!

Both are great. I only left xavier due to location. GOOD LUCK!
