My oldest son is about to turn 7!! (I can't believe it!). I'm trying to think of something for him and his friends to do for his birthday party and wondering if anyone has any ideas? I was thinking about CJ barrymores or the hot rod racer place at Lakeside mall. Dave and Busters also came to mind. I have not been to any of these places but am wondering if anyone else has and if they are appropriate for 5 or 6 boys aged 7. My son had mentioned Chuck e Cheese, but I'm concerned that he may be a little old?

Thanks so much:)

it is his birthday if he wants Chuck E Cheese then let him. the other places you mentioned are just adult versions of CEC and the games are usually more than $0.25, they don't have the kid security like CEC either and you are going to have quite the time keeping track of 5 or 6 boys in one of those places. the Gameworks I have been to had 2 floors of games so keeping track of all the boys at the same time would be pretty near impossible.

Chuck E. Cheese is definitely your best bet...7 is not too old.

Chuck E Cheeses is SO not too old for a 7 year old! It's fun! Games to play, etc

My son and his friends (7-8 yr old) have been to Chuck E Cheese, Jungle Java, Putt n Glow and Zap Zone this year. They like nothing better than to run around playing games. Although I've never been to Dave and Busters, it looks like a Chuck E Cheese catered more for adults :)

I love Chuck E Cheese because you can let them do what they want and not structure the party other than to get them to eat and maybe open presents (sometimes they are too busy to even do that!). CCs has coupons online that give pretty good deals.
